okay toecutter, just for clarification purposes, is the swingarm from the vfr750 or vfr800? and do you have a part number for the rear shock that you used?

    gen 5

The swing arm I used was a 2001 gen 5. I started with gen3 but it looked like a fugly bunch of machine works and gen 5 almost perfect. The shock was from yamaha .....no clue to what but they did have quite a few at salvage yard I went to.:thumbsup:Sorry for confusion forgot I started on page one with gen 3 plan.

Bump.... I'm sure there is some new blood around here that would like to see this mastery. After I get everything running correctly, don't think this isn't on my list. I've wanted a sssa ever since I saw my first Duc with one.

I have a spare shock and you have right side exhaust , so the worst two parts of the job are in the bag already. If you get a swing arm , wheel and order the sprocket and I get the spacers made we should be able to do it in a weekend or a more correct estimate would be three cases of beer.

Pics don't do this justice. He did it so cleanly it looks as if it was supposed to be that way. Sexy :stripper: is the only way to describe it.

uuuhh oookay..I thought you got that one for tex's SSA swap...I think i am going to go with F2 rear, i got 99% of the parts for that one already. Toe do you have a spare 8mm spacer you are willing to part with. i need it for the brake arm.

Sidenote: does anyone need any 87 fairings, i got the upper which is in good shape and the sides which arent so great, but willing to trade for a few parts...need a working r/r.

i think Tex stated it was 8mm thick in his thread, the spacer that goes between torque arm and F2 caliper.
