    fork brace

I would be wanting to get one of those for my 86 700.
If anyone has the address and a phone number that would be great!

FYI, a fork brace will do nothing for your fork dive under braking. You will need to service your forks and/or change the springs to suit your weight to cure that!

The jackass....I mean the guy at Spec 2 told me just moments ago that part is discontinued. I told him I saw it on their website, and he snapped, "That doesn't change the fact that it is discontinued" then hangs up on me.
SuperBrace doesn't show the VFR in the line up at all.
I am open to anyone that has one to sell.

    What a difference in companies.
Called Chris at Superbrace and he stated that part #2228 was discontinued just last year. He said that they would need a minimum order of 30 to get a batch made. Guess we are SOL.

Wheatie on VFRD has a fork brace for sale, if you're a member there you can PM him and get a price!

It's getting harder to find a fork brace for the 86 750. Superbrace won't run another batch until winter. The company that distributes Telefix braces doesn't have one. They could order from Germany but the minimum order would be 4 and the price is now $170 ea. Anyone have a lead on another Telefix distributor? The guy I talked to needs to look up the definition of customer service.

My friend runs a CNC machining center. I might have him make up some if I can come up with a design that works and I get a bunch of people interested.

Any interest? I would think I need 10 to make it work. If not I might make one on my little mill.

By the way, the guy who's selling one on VFRd; it looks homemade but it might work...

Put my Superbrace on this weekend. Got the last one they had:tongue: Really didn't expect much difference, but was pleasantly surprised. Front feels much more solid now and the black anodize one looks great. Just riding around town feels great can't wait to do a good ride with it.

I'd like to know if there is interest in a group purchase of SuperBrace #2228 for an 86 vfr750?

    Update

Been on a couple rides with the Superbrace on. It feels much more solid up front. Takes away that wimpy front fork feeling. Seems to hold a tight curve much better. Well worth the money and effort if you guys have to do a group buy. That and stiffer springs really help the old girl...........

Just had my first ride with a superbrace I got off VRFD. I wish it had one from the factory the front end feels great and it handles much better. Now I need to get some new springs, currently I just have a fresh rebuild and clean along with some 10 weight. I wanted 15 but they were all out.

    I'm looking for one

My left fork seal just started to leak so I am looking at new fork seals and have a line on a pair of progressive springs. Might as well add a brace to the front end update, and maybe some new brake fluid while I have the front end off.

Is this going anywhere? I'd take one, for a reasonable price.

    Heck yeah

I got first dibs when he completes his fork transformation. We communicated ofline via private messaging. Keep looking, I am sure you will find one eventually.

Anyone talk to Superbrace recently about making some of these? Looks like they could sell and ship five or six right away.
