I am in NYC and I love camping and Adult Motorcycle rallies. Anyone going to AM-Jam or Rally to the Cascades? If anyone wants to come down from the boondocks to NYC and do some camping, riding and beach/boat fun on the shore let me know. Would also be fun to make a run through Manhattan. Also during the summer there are a lot of MCs that have BBQs and rides. If you do a rally up in the middle of nowhere where will guys be able to find women?

I'm in VT and would absolutely be interested. I ride in NY all the time, through the adirondacks.

Let me know when and where!

sat down with the owners last night and got a list of available date in June July and Aug so I would shoot for Mid Aug maybe the race at the glen is in August too. Looks like this might happen I hope if I go through the trouble you guys will show up. There is plenty of lodging here too Greek Peak is about 1/4 mile away and they have condos and such there are cabis for rent at the venue too. So far only bordering states are replying that has me worried. If I do this it will one kick ass party I promise you that!

I would def be interested. Just need to know a date, so i can plan for it. It's a bit of a haul from Binghamton or Ithaca where I spend most of my time, but I could prob swing it. LOL :vtr2:

I would be up for something in western ny. I could possibly even host something if the job market goes well. I am a few hours from the glen and there is some nice riding around when I am in the country with a nice state park for a cookout.

If it's to be a Saturday and Sunday event, I'll likely ride up on Friday, the long way, avoiding slab totally, on the "good" roads. Will probably take seven hours or so. I could then slab it back in half the time, or take another day and ride the same way back.

OFF TOPIC (so shoot me) => I lived and worked in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY for a few years many years ago (e.g., Skaneateles, Camillus, Rose Hill). Spent a lot of time outdoors from the Adirondacks, to Lake Ontario, and down to the Southern Tier. Sure did rain a lot. Snowed even more! Beautiful, beautiful country, though! Never did ride a bike that whole time. Now it's time to make up for that. Thanks for the excuse to do so!

Pick a date, pick a location

I've done group outings (baseball, not cycles) and it takes some promotion. Year 3 you usually get a big crowd. First year, hard-core- second year, word of mouth- third year, bandwagon.
I like what you did about the accommodations. Pick the weekend before Americade, or pick the weekend before racing at Watkins Glen. Keep it small, or at least, plan for the worst. When 10 riders show up and have a good time, the word goes out for next year. Folks put it on their calendar.
Herds of people behave like a corporation of assholes. You need to lead them on, get the ball rolling. If you wait for confirmation from 30 riders, you will never get there. Everyone wants it in their back yard, the weekend that they have off before they go fishing in Sault St. Marie.
    I'm in.
(I'll be bringing my nymphomaniac co-worker who digs leather chaps. If that helps)

I here ya. I was hoping to do something nice but without commitment I cannot book the venue. My buddy MotoJo does the TWFW (Two wheel fever weekend) this will be year 3. Maybe I should just do it then and join forces. Buying a new house with land so maybe I'll just do it there....dont know...you should all bring nymphos....would make for lots of fun. Either way I will so something this summer if it ever gets here! Sex, drugs and rock and roll is always a good time!

I'm interested in this, and will look forward to additional details narrowing down the dates. However, I'm not really set up for camping. I love camping, but when it comes to riding, I'm more of a hotel guy, personally.

KNIFE - Although I'm in New Jersey, if this trip/plan works out, perhaps we could meet up somewhere in PA, Western NJ, or "where ever". I am due east of the Delaware Water Gap, and can make it across the gap in about 30 minutes from my home.

We had a Catskill weekend in October the past two years on VFRd and had over 25 bikes show up. If you host it... we will come!!!

Albany is a bit far, but if you pick the right weekend, I'll do my best to come.
