It really depends on what beer. Any kind of lite beer, yes you do have a problem. Any kind of Budweiser, maybe excepting Amberbock, yes you do have a problem. Anthing that says "Miller", yes you do have a problem. :cheersaf:

What you are describing is perfectly normal sir. I am unable to do yardwork or work on my bike unless I have an ice cold Blue Moon Lager with a fresh slice of orange within arms length. My second favorite would have to be the Bridgeport IPA from Oregon. The only problem with loving beer is that sometimes the job you are doing takes a little longer to complete.

    Regards,
    Rollin

You have no problem. FJ12 may have a problem with being a little snobbish . I'm an equal opportunity beer drinker, cold and free are my favorite kinds.

Good to see one of my favorite IPA's is enjoyed by somebody on the other side of the country. The Pacific NW has some dandy beers. Sometime see if you can get a Dead Guy ale from Rogue Breweries...one of my favorite, all around beers...anything Rogue brews is mighty fine.

Bridgeport IPA is probably the best IPA that I've ever had on tap. If I have to drink bottled beer I usually pick up some Dogfish Head IPA since Bridgeport in the bottle just doesn't taste the same as the draft. I will definately try some of the Rogue brews. They carry a few varieties at my local liquor store but I haave never tried any of them before. I figure if you are smart enough to buy a VFR then you are probably smart enough to recommend a good brew. Cheers!!!

    +1 for Rogue.

I am so happy to see so many IPA fans on the site! In my circle of friends IPA lovers are few and far between. Best IPA I've ever had is from a local brewery in Michigan called Bell's. The beer is called Hopslam. It's an imperial IPA with 10% abv. AWESOME. Bell's has limited distribution(midwest and florida for some reason) and the fact that this beer is seasonally brewed between January and February for about a month makes it fairly hard to find. Beats dogfish head 60min and 90 min IPA in my book.

As an alternative Bell's Two Hearted pale ale is available year round and is very tasty as well.

That would actually be a "Blue Moon Belgian White Wheat Ale"...but no beer snobbery here!! I just happen to have one cracked open as I type this.

Beer makes the world go round.

Shiner Bock is my fave...Texas Aggie Beer!!

    I see no problem.
I thank you for voicing this, I no longer need to rationalize my beer consumption.

While Blue Moon is indeed my current favorite as well, the only problem I can see with beer is that if youre trying to pare some disgusting fat off your carcass as I have been doing recently, beer is not your friend in that department.

However, a buzz still being a necessary part of life, you can do what some of us like me and Bitterpill and a few others have done and come on over to the dark side where bourbon awaits you like a long lost friend.

as I read this, I am drinking the new beer and smoking the cigars you brought me. it occurs to me that life is pretty good. btw the temp here is 81 and sunny. wish you were here! Tomorrow I am gonna do a little gardening and maybe drink a beer or two and I'll probably pack up the camper and head out to the woods for some dirtbike riding followed by...you guessed it...drinkin beer.

I really should do that paring off fat thing that someone mentioned but I really enjoy beer. maybe I'll start the day after tomorrow....yeah, that's the ticket...

Weekends only? You are a saint.
Neccessarry part of BBQ? All part of being a guy.
Working on a bike sober would be like working on a car ... sober. Yes it takes a little longer sometimes.

Now I'm going to go and try and find the (hopefully) dead battery ('cause that would be the cheapest cause for my setback) on the VFR for the very first time, having just pushed it across town. I've got just enough Natural Light in me (another way to stop fluffing up the belly, folks) to accomplish the task with relish.
    Cheers
