whats this part ?

    does anyone know what or where this part goes i found it in with everything that came with my bike. im not even sure it goes to my bike its an 87 700.thanks for any info.

    Ummm......don't know if it belongs on your bike, but does that look like a vacumn canister of some type?

    Flux Capacitor that mounts to the lower left of the air intake Hyper tube system. Is a bitch to get at unless you have a Unarlin Socket and 4mm adapter.

    that's what i thought:rolleyes: it's where the tubes go in. just make sure you do 88.

    I can't tell how big it is by the picture, but it might be a vacuum controlled fuel shut-off. Lots of bikes in that time period would not allow gasoline to flow to the carbs unless the engine was running, or cranking over while starting.

    If the ports are too big for fuel lines, then I would guess it is the same sort of device for re-routing airflow depending on engine vacuum, as in smog control.

    It's for emmisions. It's part of the roll over fuel vapor system off the carburetors.

    I believe thats for a later model though.

    you will need minimum 1.21 gigawatts to power it. I have a food processor you can borrow for the mean time. What's your address? I'll send it to you.

    What it is is a diverter valve used for emissions. Does it have a part # on it I can tell you what its off of.
