Fender eliminator...Totally pleased

I just installed a fender eliminator kit from Competition Werkes on my '06. The install was completely straight forward and dare I say...easy! The holes on my NC plate did not line up exactly with that of the stainless mount but a drill bit made light work of that situation.

If someone explains how to post pics I would be thrilled to post one or two. I am a new rider and this is my first mod. Hurray for me:strong:

I have an 06 too and would like to see the results of your work. I have been considering a hugger and have see various one on line.

 

I've got the same one on my 07 RWB and it looks AWESOME (best I've seen for 6th gen by far). The little screws on the back of the light were a bit of a pain (couldn't be my fat fingers!!) due to the tight location. Other than that minor issue, no problem. The eliminator kit and removing the rear foot pegs & grab bars are the biggest bang for the buck (visually). Enjoy...

That looks nice. I should do the same. But how dare you clutter up your "VFR" space with all that other stuff. You are just a "Pretend" VFR'r, a poser, infiltrator. Come on guys, Gumzer needs to be tared and feathered.:vader:

A little nit. . .

. . on a very good experience. The little plugs that came with it to close the openings left from the old fender and bolts just sort of lay in the bolt holes. I think a good bump would have them rattling around under the seat. Anyone else have this?

Seems like I could just get some caulk or something but wanted to see what everyone else did.

My plugs fit pretty snug in mine and for the past 2 years haven't had a problem with them. Now if I could just find a hole big enough to plug up with my soon to be ex wife so I can stop having problems with her then everything will be great!!

 

LOL. Now I would buy a whole box of those things. Imagine the uses at work, family, etc.
