not sure about your year but I have a sargent seat on my '06 and my cowl fits. It is a little more snug than on the OEM seat but it fits none the less.

I was thinking about ordering a seat for my 93 from corbin and getting the seat cowl from airtech. Do they not fit over a corbin seat either?

Is your sargent seat one piece or two? On the 5th gen (98-01) model's it's a two piece seat. The seat cowl does not fit over the rear seat portion. HOWEVER, you can remove the rear seat and the cowl fits over the back of the driver seat. I don't see a point to having the cowl if you have the rear seat...

    its one piece.

i think it looks better with it on. but realized that it would be a PITA everytime i wanted to get under the seat.

Hi there abnviffer. I tried to fit the cowl on my 02 with a sergent seat but could'nt, how did you manage to do it, did you slide in from the back forward or did you sort of streach it from the sides, I was afraid the side tabs were going to break. thanks

I slid in from the rear as far as it'll go. When it gets tight I kind of wigle the cowl from side to side pulling out and down on the front tabs until the hole line up with the tabs. Then just snap it in place. Haven't really had that much trouble with it. hope this helps.
Will get some pics tomorrow morning when I get off.

I did put the seat cowl on and took pics as promised but I didn't feel like screwing around with the computer this morning so I didn't get any pictures downloaded. I will get them done though. Hope you got it on.

Work is all I've been doing too. Right now I'm working 72 hr night shift weeks. Only have Sunday off. Not complaining though. Beats the alternative.

Hey there abnviffer; that seat cowel I was trying to mount on the Sergent seat turned out to be the wrong part and is for a VTR 1000, I bought it on ebay, got sent the wrong item. It all makes sense now, thank you for your help and try not to work too hard. Regards.

No worries. That is one problem with buying online. Only two more weeks to go then back to regular day shifts (hopefully). Off to Pittsburgh tomorrow night for the last two weeks. When you get your new cowl you'll see how easy it slip on. Not as easy as on the OEM seat but you won't have to fight it either.
