    Hi Folks,

I initially posted in the Mods forum my first cut at a mod'd exhaust system. Since then, I've 'colorized' the exhaust :^). So, I've attached a couple of pix of my 'creation'. I have yet to find someone local to build up a solid pipe from cat to can. Also, I need to make a more professional hanger for the can.

With the stock exhaust removed, I have room for a dual bottle dry nitrous kit with the 'large' bottles, mounted where the stock cans were. This should be good for the occasional adrenaline rush fix ;^).

    Thanx for reading,
    ACE

i like the idea of nitrous where the mufflers used to be:thumbsup: but dry and nitrous should never be said together on a bike that doesnt have wide band o2 sensor:eek:

Never having used NO before, I guess I'm puzzled by your concern. The kit suppliers details indicate that if one has a temperature sensor in the air path, that is enough. Is this wrong?

Went ahead & removed rear pegs/handles ... you're right Shaynej, it does clean up nice :^). Might put up a pic if time permits.

My nitrous mod is temporarily on hold due to a trip to the local bike shop. I was 'talked' into a set of leathers/boots/gloves for track use and now must pay this off first ...

nitrous oxide does drop the intake charge temperature down drastically and the temperature sensor may pick this up and adjust a/f ratio's accordanly. but, nitrous oxide is made up of 2 parts nitrogen and one part oxygen (36% oxygen by weight), while our atmosphere only contains 21% oxygen. the vfr's sensors have no way of detecting this and adjusting the a/f ratio to compensate this. moral of the story? look into wet shot systems...
