I have some, that are "supposed" to fit mine, but they dont. they are for a 85-91 honda VFR. is one grip a smaller diameter than the other?

I like the Honda grips. They are about $12/pair.

One should be a smaller diameter hole for the left side and slightly larger for the right to fit over the throttle tube;)

OMFG! I am so stupid! I took one out of the package, slipped off my left side, and the rubber was very loose, not crazy, but.... *sigh* if I get home and find out I've had new grips for over a year...

    Ugh, I feel so stupid.

That's ok. It's happens to the best of us too. Other sites may ridicule you for such a move but we're all part of the VFR brotherhood.

But we promise not to laugh. :joker: .....too hard.

I can't find the 669 model Pro Grip's website from the link you posted.

Yes, I didnt read the instructions. I, for whatever reason, thought "How can you fuck up Handle Grips!?", laughed, and tossed the instructions aside with another chuckle.

I put on my new grips last night.

Guess the Grips got the last laugh at me.

As long as no tools were harmed during this production, then all is well.

Now get out and ride!

I put new grips on last night as well. I like to leave them for at least 24 hours so the weatherstrip cement can fully cure....

    MD,

When you installed your 699's, did you use any adhesive? Or did you just follow the ProGrip instructions and just use soapy water, slide on and let dry for 24 hours?

And did you just cut your stock grips off? Or did you use some secret ninja move to remove the stock grips intact?

    Just curious.

To get the grips off, use a small air nozzle, and get air under the grip, it works better on one piece bars where you can block off the other end but you can still get them if you work at it a bit, if you want tot save a couple bucks.

I'm not too concerned about saving the stock grips. I don't need them anymore. I'll give the air a try. If it's a pain, the knife will come out.

    Thanks.
