I contacted a retailer out Texas that sells 520 conversions for 1990+ on ebay, about the 86-87 model years & never did hear back from them. Maybe its time to try again

Well Good news I contacted the good people at moto heaven and I got this response. They say they can do any gearing combo from mild to wild so I will see what they say when I write them back.

I've bought some stuff from them. Prices were OK, but be prepared for a long wait (sometimes). :blah:

Midias, did you end up getting a 520 front sprocket from those guys?

    I need a VFR 520 front, and a VF500F 520 rear...

    Thanks!

    Saving a few $$$?

Why would anyone want to put a smaller chain on a, heavy, torquey beast like VFR??

The smaller chain will wear out MUCH quicker than stock, and that aluminum rear sprocket will wear out 2-3 times quicker than steel.

In the end you'll actually spend more.

Saving money is not why I went after the 520 conversion.

I need the smaller chain because I am converting from 110/130 tires to 120/180 with a 900RR rear wheel. I need the clearance.

$$ is not an issue at this point(I am a cheap bastard, but I know where I can & can't cut corners!)

I am looking for steel rears, not aluminum.

& I converted my F4i to 520 a while ago & it's been just fine. That bike makes about the same torque and 20 more hp...

I have searched my manual and cannot find the OEM chart for front and rear sprockets. Does anyone know what they should be for an 86 750? I picked this bike up 2 years ago and it has 16x46 currently.

    Thanks.
