I believe it is very unpresidential to appear on talk shows. You are the leader of the free world, play the role.

I found it a little offensive that obama made fun of the special olympic people. hes the leader and showed no class at all with that statement..

 

I haven't watched it yet, but I think the whole point of it was to relate to the common people.

 

Get over it, people are human. He's not the first President to say something stupid. I thought it was a great way to real people who normally turn off the TV when a political speech comes on. We were about to see a side of "the man" not just a talking head reading a teleprompter. (Wait, could Bush actually read??:unsure This President is getting people to talk about things that have long been swept under the rug. Whether you like him or not it's refreshing that he doesn't ignore what most of us are thinking about the way the economy is progressing.

 

I heard he was going to be on and DVRed it.

I was impressed. I didn't vote for him, but he is very bright, and I feel he did quite well for not having teleprompter feeding him every line. Anyone can sound more intelligent than they are when they are reading something written for them, but he was relaxed and well composed. I enjoyed the show, and I like some of his ideas, but his big picture agenda still scares the crap out of me!

I really don't want to start a fuss but you know, this president has alot going on. Some dislike him due to race. He could pull 10 children from a burning bus and some would still dislike him due to his race. That is sad. What is even more sad is the fact that I have family members like this. One uncle who is a die hard Democrat and has never voted other than straight ticket, did not vote for him because of his race.
I believe our country is in its current state because we've not done some things right over the last several years. I hope for all our sakes that he is the real deal. I believe if you met him in a ice cream shop, you would be able to have a real conversation with him. The burden that fell on his shoulders the day he took office is one for the record books. One thing I noticed right off the bat, he hasn't denied or tried to hide the facts from the people and he has charged ahead instead of being "lost" or confused.
So I decided years ago to give people some benefit of doubt. Let's see if he carries through on those words he so easily used to convince the majority of us to vote for him. If he starts riding a VFR, I'll prbably vote for him in 4 years!

I probably shouldn't have said that, as I see the Grand Old Party seems to be running pretty strong here. Oh well lol.

You know it is weird seeing our president on Leno, but it is nice to see a leader who can be himself. The special Olympics quote was messed up, but I laughed, so I'm no better than him.
You know why we never saw doubya on Leno? Do you know how much he would have embarrassed us if he went candid? He was embarrassing while reading from cards.

 

I can understand how the GOP would be upset about the Special Olympics comment...it's basically what they passed off as running the country for eight fucking years.

Maybe some of you folks never saw the movie....
