Damn Dude, Thats What Im Talkin Bout!!!! I Like That 160 Rear Tire, If I Can Ever Get The Time Or Just Be Patient Enough, I Would Love To Convert My Vf 500 F To The F-2 Wheels, I Think That Would Definitely Set My Lil' Bike Off Especially With The Full Fairings That I Already Put On It. Just Wanted To Tell You That Rear Tire Is The Shit!!

I'm glad to hear that you like it Matt. I think the white F2 wheels look great against the 86's paint scheme. Just wait until you get out and ride it!

well guys you can NOT fit a dunlop 160 tire in a 86 vf500, so jamie chime in at any time to say "told you so" so there is 230.00 bucks down the drain, ive just reorder a 150/60 tire from bridgestone so we wil see if it works or is here in time:frown:

I was just thinking... since that f2 wheel is smaller that is going to change your final drive ratio. What size rear sprocket did you use? I went +1 when i first got my 500 and it was pretty crappy (45mph @5500 rpm in 6th) and i couldn't hardly use 1st gear. It topped out right around 100 with the +1 also. I asume the smaller wheel would be similar to a +1 set up on the rear

i went 3 down on the rear sprocket awhile ago and i love it!!! it really lets this bike move, but as for the wheel being a 17 & not a 18, i would think there wont be to much of a difference in the final drive but i have yet to test it, so we will see:thumbsup:

Stepping down to the smaller wheel and lower profile tire on my VF750F(160) is about the same as going -1 on the front sprocket.

Are you sure you went DOWN 3 teeth on the rear? That would slow your acceleration and increase your top end speed. Going up 3 would increase accel.
