I am getting new grips I don't like the stock ones. I also do not like the sponge type either. I have seen some gels that look nice. I am looking for a soft tacky grip and don't care if they wear out fast just as long as they are comfortable. Planning on doing a 2 day ride with some friends soon think I need to order the heli bars and givi screen before I go so therefore grips are in order please post reply...

...and yes I am lame for getting heated grips in San Diego. ;) I do ride daily though, so it's nice for a couple months out of the year.

I just put the Progrip 699's on when I installed Heli-bars and I like them.
Pro Grip 699 Open End Sportbike Gel Grip - Motorcycle Superstore
The PO also a different model progrip. but they were a bit worn. BTW, they do come in a set of 2, so you don't need to order two of them like a certain idiot I know did. But at least I now have a spare set of grips :)

Ditto on the Pro Grip 724's. I've put them on every bike I've owned for the last decade or so.

    KC-10 FE out...

ProGrip 699's a.k.a -- waffle grips. One of the few bike things that I tried from a friends bike and thought---"I must go buy these grips now!" Pics in gallery.

OURY roadgrips. Gels can't even come close to the comfort of these things.
They are slightly larger diameter than standard grips which helps spread out the load on your hand. The large blocks of rubber are soft and eat up vibration. Best grip I've found by far. None of the Progrips can even touch the comfort of these.
They are soft, and I usually go through 2 pr a year.
