....wooo hoooo! I am so happy with my new Sargent so far. I have already informed my fellow bastages today. Since we only have like only 10,000 other reviews of Sargent saddles....I will put up a review once I make sure my ass-O-meter is properly calibrated. :ass: :scooter: ....and to think this only took me two years!

Some pics from my camera phone at work today....

    The arrival

After the tediously long install....it was hard! :faint:

Nice to see another fellow sargent seat owner! I bought mine about a month ago and am very happy with it! I love how it breaks down in two pieces so that when I ride solo I can use the rear cowl to make some storage for my rain suit.

Oh, and the fact I don't feel like I just had a prison date after a 5 hour ride is a great bonus!

I'm surprised you just got one. I always assumed you already had one.

Congrats. It does make a difference. The rear will be very grateful.

Congats on the seat, now I guess I gotta stop being a cheapo. I still have the stock seat on my 2K VFR, and after this winter it has some cracks so I gotta do something soon. I like the Sargent seat and the red trim on your seat gives your bike a nice look.

Ah you have seen the light another one joins the dark side, may the force be with you at the top of 6th gear! I bought my Sargent seat about 1 month ago they are more comfortable than the stock seat and the Corbin seat! I was able to compare all 3 last summer on my VFR with the help of other friends! I swapped the seats with them every 100 kms during a trip to Toronto last summer and the Sargent won butt down! Pardon the pun.

    Cheers....

I have only one question about that impure piece of after market farkle.
How does the front piece lock in when the back is off?

It doesn't. You would need to use the rear cowl to hold it in place if the rear section is off....just like Mr Joseph said.

Awwww....I can always scrounge up some change for TJ baby.... :stripper:

Because you never answer your e-mails bastage.... :phone:

Thanks boss! Actually, Sandhill Motorsports (where I bought the seat) currently only offers the 5th gen Sargents with either red or yellow piping. I wanted black, but I am pretty happy with the look of the red now.

Well actually, the front piece has litle plastic thingies that keep it attached on the sides of the bike to the front. I rode it around with no rear cowl and didnt have any problems.

Yeah, I was just kinda saying that it didn't actually "lock" or "latch" in place with the rear piece off. :beehive:

So you're saying that if you took the back section off and put the rear cowl on and cranked the throttle...theoretically the seat could slide back and break the rear cowl and dislodge you from the bike?

Congrats, Jason. Hands down the best mod I've made. I know you'll agree. You're a trooper for having kept the stock seat on for so long. That thing sucks!

yes, that can happen only in the following conditions:

    • You weigh less than 80 pounds
    • You have Toro's supercharger kit installed
    • You also happen to have borrowed and attached a sidewinder missle from the air force

So YOU are saying it stays pretty solid without the rear section on?
