Anyone got cold feet yet.......

 

No. But I am confident mine will get cold somewhere along the line. But I am tough dooooode. I can hack it. Ordered some Gerbings pant liners and insoles the other day. Already have the jacket liner.

 

My feet are cold, but that is because I rode to work today at 28 degrees. Just getting back into riding shape.

YES! My boss approved my time off! I plan to leave Sonora around 10 am and meet up with Drewl's Crewl at In-N-Out on March Lane in Stockton around noon. I'm getting pretty darn excited. I've got to get some luggage and figure out how to pack. It's been a long time since I took a trip. Used to have some Bag Man Luggage and tank bag but sold it to a chick at work. Hey! Maybe she still has them and will sell them back to me or loan them. If not, I'll figure something out. This reminds me of the time I rode from San Bernardino to Rome, New York for my brother's wedding in 1983. I had a CB900F and bought some gym bags in Korea for the trip. I tied the handles together and threw them over the back seat...boy was that cheesey! Great trip though. I met the Vice President of Radio Shack and his BMW touring buddies by chance at Four Corners AZ and we rode together to Durango, Colorado. He paid for my hotel and steak dinner as I was a poor Airman in the service and was running out of cash in the pre-ATM days. I ended up getting T-Boned in Connecticut the day before the wedding and had to crate up the superbike and ship it back and fly home. I have to laugh at the first day out too. I was such a squid. While riding across the dessert that June day, I stripped down to some jogging shorts...the kind that only hot chicks wear now. So, there I was, sneakers, shorts, helmet...and the pastiest white skin. I got so sunburned that I should have been hospitalized! I bought some Tylenol and some noxema cold cream, and lay whimpering in a tent at Four Corners. The next morning, I felt marginally good enough to ride, and that's when I met the VP from Radio Shack...they must have felt sorry for me, but admired my tenacity at being so adventureous to take a motorcycle trip all the way across country. I mean, I didn't know the first thing about motorcycling...you know, afraid to use the front brake because I'd fly over the handlebars, and never heard of countersteering. But, I have some wonderful memories of that first trip, and went on to become a regular sport touring guru. Well...compared to that first trip, anyway. This trip to Reg's will sure bring back some fond memories! Can't wait. See you all soon!

I would like to make everyone here aware that I consider the previous two posts as being very insenstive to my disadvantaged state. I was going to bring you all some fresh white snow nicely packaged. Now it will be yellow snow in a plastic baggie.

I am starting to get anxious about a couple of the things I bought for SLO. I ordered them last week and neither have shipped yet. I DO NOT want to run out of time to get them on the bike. Phone calls will be made. OH YES, phone calls will be made.
