What are your thoughts on last night's race?

    Mine:

    1. If this is how DMG is goint to run AMA racing.......sheesh

    2. Eslick's Buell and his crew's attempts at repair had me laughing to the point of seizure.

    3. Josh Hayes' wife can ride a motorcycle.

I havent had time to look around and get the general opinions from the web or the press on the race yet, just throwing this up here, so I dont know yet if there was some fall out from some of the rather controversial things that happened.....(safety car issues, etc.)

I wanted to go to this race but things happened at the last minute to prevent it but nyone that did happen to go, give us your thoughts.

Or if you watched on TV like me

Bear, my thoughts matched your's to a T. I almost wanted to reach through the TV and push those clowns on Eslick's team out of the way and do it. But just like a Harley, it was falling apart after a few miles.

That Cluster Fuk with about 10 to go and the "Safety Car" out there for 3 WASTED laps waiting for Eric to get his position up front, thus making Josh push a little harder causing him to high side really pissed me off.

You know, seeing the Buell fiasco was comedy. But got me thinking. You all saw how it was running up until that point... I'm thinking Buell has something going. Or at least a start...

Almost as many people that were in the stands last night...

    ha ha

AMA is coming to Fontana (25 minutes away) and I'll be sure to go... Heck, from the looks of it parking should be a breeze...

I caught about the last 20 laps on SPEED last night. I don't tend to watch racing much, but the end of the race sure was wierd, and the commentary seemed pretty stupid. It was at least fun watching the final fight for first.

I hear ya , it looked like there were about 50 people there.

Indy looked like that too for Moto Gp, although there were a lot of people there ( I went). That's what happens when you hold a bike race on a Nascar style track and grandstands.

Caught me by surprise. I didn't know they changed it to a Friday night race. I just happened upon it channel flipping. The Buell surprised me at it's power level. Yes I wanted to "Gibbs slap" those two "mechanics" back to Charley school. What a waste.
I'd much rather see it back on Sunday.
The funniest incident had to be when two bikes got locked together and the front bike was towing the bike that hit him. The other rider did a great slide job standing up in the back round.
Over all it was a good race. Waiting for more this year and seeing them at Mid-Ohio.

That was weird, changing it to Friday and at night. In fact , that affected me being able to go and to find someone that might want to tag along. I'm sure they figured that folks would aready be there for bike week and it wouldnt effect attendance that much, but I'm betting it would have been better if held on the weekend.

just ran into another member that's on here. Kinda 'lurking' about, and counting the other two entries, we've now got a 6-person fan base. Should we break out and start our own site?

I'm an avid fan of AMA,WSBK,MOTOGP,AND F1. Have been for decades. I record and watch them all. Other than that hilariously wacky comedy skit in the Buell pits, the race was fairly boring. Daytona usually is. It's a shame that Danny Eslick had problems and Josh Hayes dropped out,it would've made for a more interesting finish.

    I hear you, Grey

    Hella Yeah BadBilly

That's my favorite motorcycle related quote

    Print em up

I know there's probably lots more folks around here that dig racing, but many more are into WSBK and MotoGP than AMA. Now today I'm reading that they DQed Eslick for passing on a caution and that some of the riders are pissed by the way the entire race was handled, making people do extra laps and shit.......I hope that things get better with DMG, The 200 race always looks like monkeys f*cking a football anyway. I still havent figured out all the rule changes and class changes for this year in AMA Road racing, just hear lots of people think the whole thing has benn dumbed down as far as the bikes go and that is going to discourage top talent from participating. Of course , I keep hearing that DMG is trying to make AMA into NASCAR which most people think will never work.

Oh , I was happy to see Jaime Hacking back out there again. And Duhamel

    Us old guys like that.

    Thank God for WSB!
    Daytona was pathetic!
I'm not even going to go into details. Some are trying to make m/c road racing something that it isn't. I thought the AMA stuf stunk before, but now...

To me it's roadracing. It doesn't matter bikes or cars I love them all. The AMA Super Bike races are not like they used to be, granted. But it's still some good racing.

Badbilly, sorry, pinks not in my color palate.:focus:
