IMO you've done all you can as a friend. you can't make him listen, and you can't force him to alter his behavior, but you have given him the benefit of wise insight. only he can decide what to do with it.

that's basically the reaction I expected he would have. It's like someone kicked him in the intelligence repeatedly. What a dumbass. Hopefully he will off himself before he has any kids to spread his idiocy to. God damn squids...

agreed, telling someone to kill themselves is rude. (not that it isn't warranted:rolleyes:)

However, your friend definitely deserves a DOUCHEBAG award for riding outside of his ability level no matter who he is. I think we can all agree on that.

I'm not saying anyone should tell him to kill himself, I'm just saying it's likely to happen in the natural course of things based on his actions you have told us about. Calm down bro, sorry you are so easily offended.

Divorce yourself from his lunacy post haste

You can't save 'em all, my friend, just try not to be around when they go off.

If its not this catastrophe, it will be another, and how long till you're swept up into more nonsense , maybe something much more problematic than storing his crashed junk

    Matt:

Bear's on point. Just cut your friend loose.

On the NESBA message board thier is a thread about the 'street' riders who talk about how fast they are, yet they only have a worn spot in the middle of their rear tire, they talk about wheelies and quarter mile times and are about to do their first track day. And since they have a gixxer 1000, they'll be fast as hell becasue they can roar down the front straight and make up all the lost time for parking in the corners.

As you've established, your friend is a retard. It is what it is.

Matt, enjoy YOUR foray into track days and possible racing. You'll meet alot of good like minded individuals at these events.

    BZ

Let's please not encourage this as*hole by suggesting he sue the manufacturer and the insurance company. Why should the rest of us pay higher motorcycle premiums, ever increasing medical costs, product price increases, and ever more government interference in our lives because a douchebag like this is out there acting like a moron? I'm sick and tried of paying for some idiots stupid decision. Let him pick up the tab, all of it.

Crazy.. and I have to ask why? I mean one less in this gene pool should be a good thing. I'm not being mean, but come on now doesn't take being a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Doh some one has unfinished business I guess.

    Accident? What accident?

I'll say this about every story I've ever heard (car or cycle or otherwise).
Since I've never seen a sheer crack like that, too.
People always try to snake out of responsibility. It is always the "other idiots" fault. They will absolutely swear to the truth about all the important and smart things they did to avoid a collision, and somebody else was bent on destroying them.
I'll bet he was practicing wheelies for 8 days straight and lifted and dropped that thing 431 times. I'll bet it was wobbling bad on day 4 and he kept riding. I'll bet he took a hammer to the forks to improve the angle. I'll bet he was squeezing the front brake lever in a death grip because he was losing his balance.....

LOTS of dumbass kids do wheelies to simply show off or from peer pressure, but maybe peer pressure from you could have convinced the kid that wheelies can be extremely dangerous and foolish.......?

It's safer to ride 2000 miles on 2 wheels than to ride 100 feet on 1.

I give that advice to all new riders i meet.....IF they will listen.

i just want to add to this by saying everyone has to learn some how, no i dont condone what he has done, when i got my first bike it was a piece of sh#t ninja 250,god only know how i didnt die on that thing, i will say i was a squid when i first started to ride a motorcycle i, no gear, no sense, riding way out of my skill level, flat out being a dumbass. everyone has to learn and i wrecked more than once the one thing i gain that i believe a lot of people dont think about is! experince i learnerd from my wrecks you cant be trying to cut in and out of traffic, doing stoppies in rush hour, one thing i was proud of is standing on my seat going 50-60 mph, oh i was cool alright, all Disregard
for my life and the life for all other people. what he did is stupied and i have gotten to him, he not going to get another bike, and final admits that what he did was so so stuiped. i felt so proud and even tears that i was able to save someones life, who is to say if he got another bike i he didnt get killed, a sigh of relief. but all im trying to get out here is everyone starts out as a NOOB, some have too learn the hard way & some learn much easyer it took me three wrecks before it clicked that life is too short for being COOL. i hope this thread helps someone on this website ive already lost a good friend, that i went to high school with and even lived with the first time i moved out of the parents house, and it sucks you dont know what you hae until its gone, in this case it was a really good friend. again if this thread jsut helps one person to realize that you dont have to do wheelies or go triple digits to be cool then i think its done its job. matt
