FWIW, the dealer I work for just recently put our '07 RWB (new, fresh out of the crate last summer) on sale for $9650. Down from a little over $11000. Not sure what they'd charge for the bags, though.

I know there are $1200 worth of rebates on the 2007 VFRs at the moment, so you should be able to get a good price on one. I believe the rebates are good until the end of march.

9800 is not bad, but I can tell you there is certainly room for him to go lower.

The $850 for the bags is OK...the charge for the bike seems a bit high.

Definately high, Monk69 just bought an '08 out the door, brand new for $9600, no bags. There's a red '07 at a nearby dealership, brand new, for $7600.

I bought my RWB at the New Honda of Winston-Salem, NC for $9,250.00 last year with $300.00 powder coated white wheels. Recently, a Honda dealer in Charlotte, NC advertised a new RWB for $8,099.00. I had been so happy with myself and the deal I made but when I saw this...I said, Damn, what a deal!

    Good Luck, JD

I agree, that seems a little high for the bike. He should be in the $8K - $9K range.
