I just installed a trailer-restraint system by pit-bull and can reccommend it . . . no more scuff-marks from tie-downs or suspension compression! . . . and the bike sits on the trailer as if by majic, appearing at first glance to be completely unsupported . . . unreal !!

I'd also like to see some pics of it. I trailer my bike behind the 5th wheel and I'm curious about this setup.

I'd like to see some pics too. Pit Bull doesn't list any part# for a VFR/Hawk GT stand.

You trailer your bike behind a truck towing a 5th wheel? I'd like to see a pic of that. Not messing with you, we just don't see stuff like that in NJ & it would most likely be illegal here too.

    KC-10 FE out...

It's a Smart Trailer: www.smarttrailers.com so it turns with the 5th wheel, and that makes it a snap to use when backing up.

I don't have one of those house trailers or a truck. I was wondering if any one knew about those brackets that let you stack four of the Givi bags on the back of a VFR?

I saw one picture and the bags were color coded. Really cool.

If you don't mind my asking, what's a travel trailer like that run?

Also, nice choice on the Cummins TD. Dodge makes terrible products, but the CTD is the best diesel money can buy. I'm actually looking for a 01-02 CTD so I can get rid of my POS Ford.

Apologizes to the original poster for the thread jacking.

We bought that one used a couple of years ago, it's a 2003 35' Montana Big Sky. New ones run around $60-70,000, but we picked that one up for $25,000. It's got three slides and all the comforts of home. We love it, but don't get to use it enough. Damn the bad luck. Hopefully in a couple of years we'll be able to spend a lot more time with it.

Yeah, the CTD is a great engine. That is a 2001 w/70,000 mile so it's just barely getting broken in.

    Ditto on the thread hijack.

I was wondering if you could secure the VFR with a front wheel chock and a rear single swingarm maintenance stand both bolted down and the bike strapped to them? Secure enough?
