Anyone divorced lately

Oh man, is this the kind of thread JB is going to make in the future? He let me stop working... He works from home so I get to pester him all day long... Can there be any hope for me? I mean, at least I make a good dinner right???

 

There IS hope for you, it takes two people to make the marriage work, sometimes one of you may push and the other may pull and sometimes you are both pushing, but as long as you are going for the same goal it will be just fine. Part of my problem was that I failed to find the "friendship" in my marriage, if there is a friendship and you play together, the chances of it working are that much better.

 

hehe I was just joking because it seems like the further along in my pregnancy, the more he spoils me. All of the divorce threads always make me think twice about bitching about something though... at least for the next day or so. :tongue:

 

I am in my second marriage. My first wife was a PITA. Squawked about everything. I couldn't of had a bike even if I wanted one. She was crazy (nice rack) but had a face like a soft shelled crab!
Anyway, I remarried... best thing I ever did. She is wonderful..insisted I get a bike...even brought me home some brochures!

My advice....just don't settle for what is close at hand. I did, what a mistake.
One more thing...don't hold her purse when she tries on clothes.

Yeah, I'm going through a divorce right now. Caught the Beotch cheatin on me. I packed my shit and said you can keep everything. I'm happier now even though I miss my kids.
It's funny, you know, She keeps telling me our marriage is strong enough to work through this. If it was, do you think an affair would have happened? Get warm so I can RIDE again!!

 

VFR Vs divorce

Been there! a 4 year long divorce, all toys had to go, sold each for £10 on paper,sorry solisitor these toys do devalue so much!
Now, a VFR parked in my works so i can dissapear in work time when i like,a G/f of 2 years and i don`t need a marrige licence to tell me how to run my life and it`s great!
All guys ought to be warned ,when you go into a church or marrige office to do the deed ,to read the small print, but no one ever does, too happy with the (big ) day! One day of fun,then years of moaning at you!
Maybe if women dont have that piece of paper on you like a dog leash ,they have to be on their toes, to be nice, don`t moan, non stop s-x, a bit of freedom.
Now, looks like a nice day, time to bike! with mobile turned off! :thumbsup:

Anybody got one of those friends who gripes and moans about his old lady every time you hang out and get to drinking.:frown: I did. I mean this guy was a buzz kill when it came to his girl.... "she's such a bleeping bleep, she's such a bleeping bleep, blah, blah, blah",:blah: he'd say. Anyway, him and his girl got into it one night at a party/BBQ:argue2: and he went to his room to sleep it off.:sleep: She started asking around, "does anybody want to go for a ride with me?" Me being the genius that I am said, "sure, I'll take you for a ride.":vtr2: Long story short... (well not really) woke up the next morning, in Vegas, MARRIED! :jaw:WTF did I just do? I listened to this guy complain about this chick night after night, week after week for years. not too bright, am I Little did I know at the time, that in Vegas you only have 72 hours to get an annulment. In CA, you have about 4 months. Oh well,:hitit: the piece of a$$ was good, really good. So, I move in. I didn't even have to buy a ring. She just wore the one that, that poor bastard had given her. 6 months later I filed for divorce, had her served, etc. That bitch, refused to sign. :xxx:She wanted to divorce me! ha! So she had me served...whatever. :crazy:I signed. Now one day I'm down at the courthouse (on unrelated business) and I run into her ex-husband. (no not my x-best friend, whole other guy all together) Well he's down there with his lawyer fighting for custody of their 5 year old son.:vader: They hit me up about a drunken hit a run she had with a parked car that I just happened to wittness less than a year prior and the lawyer says that if I testify in writing he'll finish/expedite my divorce for FREE.:lock: "Hell yeah, no problem", right...right. :fish2:It still took almost a year to get the final divorce decree.....the end....


.......:love: So a little over 8 years ago, I cross paths with my old high school sweetheart,:makeout: the first girl to let me... you know... upstairs outsidies.:ncb: We never actually broke up in high school. Her parents moved and being 15 so did she.:bolt: Since she was outside of skateboard distance, we just kinda stoped talking.
Alright, this is getting long so I'll finish up.:clock: We've been living together 8 years now and have a beautiful 2 year old little girl.:wink: I bought her a rock for her birthday Jan 1st this year. You know, just for show and we have NO, I repeat NO plans of ever getting married. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. (unless its a motocycle or hot rod):biggrin:

I'm on my second marriage. First PITA was a mean little bitch from Hong Kong that I met in my junior year in college. When I say mean I'm not kidding. She went to school on my dime for 6 years, and then all of a sudden I couldn't spend a moment away from her. Good Riddance. I thank God every day that I didn't have any children with her.

This time around its been great. Been together 14 years, and have two great sons, 12 and 7. Hell, she let me buy a new VFR, and yesterday she came and told me to go ahead and get the Givi hard-bags for the new bike as well. What a woman!

If something happens to this marriage, thats it for me. I'm too damned old to deal with the girlfriend/dating thing. Would cut into my riding time too much!

 

Yeah, same here. Got divorced after the ex decided to sleep her way up the corporate ladder. Anyways, ruined a really great family. I focused on getting a bike and that's what got me through. I've got an 07 VFR in the garage and the freedom to use it whenever I want.

You never see a bike outside a therapists office. A favorite quote of mine.

 

That's why I've been single for a long time; I just haven't met anyone great enough for me to give up all the personal freedoms in my single life. I don't care too much about getting a piece of and to tell the truth, I have more fun spending a whole day hauling ass down a country road than trying to schmooze a lady over.

 

On my first marriage it is my wife's second and so far she has only given me one rule. I am no allowed to have sex with women who are not her :crazy:. BUT I can look at all the porn I want :thumbsup:. So we will see how it goes. :biggrin: I guess her first husband had issues with rule number one. But when we were looking at houses she said I could keep the bikes in the living room if we could not find a nice one with a garage . Fortunately we found a nice place with a 2 car garage.

Well I have been divorced almost two years to the day. It an adjustment to be sure. I now have a great girlfreind who understands my passion and SUPPORTS IT.I bought a 06 last yeat with about 1200 miles. I now have about 8k and just purchased the following upgrades:

1. Givi V35's
2. Zg Double bubble
3. Heli bars
4. Sergeant World sport seat.

Life is waay too short to be unhappy.

Funny how so many of us got a VFR for divorce therapy, they really do have a calming effect, keeps me away from the gun range which is probably a good thing. Note to self, keep an eye on your best friend..............@#$hole.

 

My divorce will be final in April. I already own the required VFR but I've been thinking some new farkles are in order, or maybe a trip somewhere. We've been separated for the last two years and I've put more miles on my bike in that time than i did in the last 8 previous years combined.

 

Dang Dude, thanks, now I almost feel normal. So I gotta ask, obviously she was pretty hot, but did you have a "thing" for her before ya'll got drunk and did the Vegas wedding? How did it go from a ride with a buddy's girl to a Wedding? Dude..............
