On an '07 Candy Red. Did a 5 mile test ride at the dealership and that most definitely sold me on the bike. What a sweet ride!

I pick it up in one week since they are ordering mine from the warehouse. Its gonna be a long, long week..... :)

    Regards,
    H.C.D.

Congratulations. You're going to love the bike. I do like the Candy Red. You're lucky that you're in a part of the country where you can ride. I've got another 1.5 months before I could even consider it.

Yes enjoy being able to ride. There many jealous ones out there just wishing they could be riding their beloved bikes. Including me. I have 3 months before temps are really summer like again. Enjoy the great bike decision.

It was pouring rain and 42 degrees this morning when I started driving to the dealership, which is about 80 miles from my house. 30 miles into the drive and the sun comes out. A prophetic moment for sure!

We do get some good riding days here in the winter. Two weekends ago it was sunny and 72. One day later it was below freezing for the high. Weather here is very unpredictable in the winter, in the summertime its just flat out hot.

I know what you mean. I spent two weeks in Finland once in late February visiting a friend of mine there. Takes 10 minutes just to put on all the necessary clothing when you are going to be outside for a while.

I was up in your neck of the woods last summer, in early July. Rode my Sabre from here, up through Minnesota, crossed the boder at Grand Portage, around the top of Lake Superior, and back home to Little Rock via Sault Ste Marie, the UP of Michigan, etc. You have a very beautiful country; it was my first time to ever visit Canada. I want to go back sometime soon.

Congrats H.C.D. I told you, once you slip that clutch and hear that V4 motor running beneath you, you'll know. The VFR isn't the least expensive,it isn't the lightest,it isn't the fastest,it isn't the most powerful motorcycle that you can buy. Ride it long enough however, and you'll discover for yourself that it's simply the best. Let the modding begin. BTW,I'm totally jealous that you're out riding,I'm looking out my front window right now we got another 8 inches of snow today. Bummer!

Nice one, the Candy red is a stunning color especially during a Summers afternoon setting sun reflecting in a glowing blaze like the first time I observed the a Candy Red VFR drift by in '05.

I agree. I had a red 5th Gen that I liked very much, but I think the Candy Red looks better.

Although I am most definitely a Candy-Red kinda guy, I do think its possible to paint this bike in the most god-awful puke-green color you could imagine and it would still look hot.

Thanks to all for the welcome I've received here!

$7885 ... Be sure to remind your friend that the stimulus bill allows one to take the sales tax you pay on a new bike as a credit on your fed income taxes :)
