    Street sharks & 100/90-16 work??

Ok guys, I did some searching around but could not find a deffinate answer. Will a 100/90-16 tire work on the front of a 86 VFR 750?

I ordered GBC Street Shark tires to try out and that was the only size they had available for the front. Dont have money right now for good tires so thought Id give the street sharks a try. Anyone ever use them or hear anything on them? Only reviews I found said they were surprising not that bad at all. I dont plan on doing any crazy driving on them, just a temp fix to a bad tire issue.

I ordered 100/90-16 for the front and 140-70-18 for the rear from Royal Distributing so they should be here sometime this week.

Ill post up my thoughts on the tires once I have actually driven and tried them. I understand these are not high performance tires but my money situation leaves me in a good place to be a guiny pig with them. Anything has to beat my Bridgestones that are on there now. the front looks like the belts are going or something, very uneven tread.

Got the tires in today. They dont look too bad for the price at all. Just need to get them mounted and wait for all this snow to melt away. Jeeze must have 3 inches of fresh snow tonight.

    I have a 84 vf500f that uses 110/90-16 up front , don't think I'd go smaller.

    A must

You really need to rid your bike of the stock wheels. You really have no idea what you have as tire choices until you go to 17's. I have a set of forks and triple clamp to donate to your cause. Oh yes and rotors to. If you decide to go down that road let me know. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT!

The big issue for this year is money to transfer to the 17s. I deff appreciate the offer and will now look more into how much it would cost to do this. What bike are the parts from? I have the mechanical skill to do it no problem, just need to do my research first. Its great having a forum like this where people will actually step up to help others out.

The stock size is 110/90-16, but the 100/90-16 really doesnt look any smaller than it. Im going to mount it to try it out and at least that way at least someone on this forum has given it a shot. Im no professional but Ill give my best thoughts on it.

Thanks again Toe Cutter. Now im thinking on this whole 17 switch
