Buy an '07 Used - Advice?

Hi everyone, New owner here and my first post after several weeks of research and lurking I finally found a deal I couldnt refuse. I went to Southern Powersports in Chattanooga..a high volume dealer with good discounts..I paid 7783 ( after Honda's 1200 discount)!! You will have to pay your states sales tax when you register the title/tag but still this is a smokin deal..especially considering they gave me an almost even trade on my ZX10R.

The bike I'm looking at does have ABS so that's a plus, $1k on a new, but not sure how t value ABS on used. Anyway, I'm in Houston, TX so there's not many more densely pop. areas within 5 hours in the country...Dallas, Austin & San Antonio are all within a few hours of Houston. Fiinding something back to '03 with fewer miles is something I had not thought of...but makes sense. Still like the sound bottom-dollaring a dealer on a new one though. Thanks for the input.

 

well some people here can't even read that you are looking at an 07 with abs 13k new:crazy: 1700 miles is really not (used) it just got broke in..no istability issues at all with 6th gen i have, heat issues no problems on hiway in town the fan kicks on but the bike never has over heated on me..its fast no like that beemer but good enough and is comfortable. the after market exhuast leo vince are great, two brother, satintune,micron,etc.. are up to you just like what kind of shoes you prefer.. some of these responses you are reading are from kids and from people that don't know anything.. Greenville texas has a new 06 white vfr on the floor may can get it for 9k(non abs 1100 option)..call them..other wise take cash if you have it and offer 7500 thats about as low as you can go.. remember most people here do not or have not bought a new vfr and have a 9 year old plus bike worth about 4k new is always more expensive but well worth it good luck.. :thumbsup:
