I just need to unload a little so don't mind me.

You ever had one of those days that just started out so good and turned to complete shit.. Today was definitely one of them..

Finally got my bike together, started it up and was just so happy and how well it ran. Got to drive it around a little with the new clutch and it was just awesome... Found someone to get some turn signals and am getting the bike registered tomorrow. Project so close to being finished, very excited..

Then of course, the shitty part.

Nothing worse then having your wife coming home and saying it's through, done, over...

    Words cannot even express....

But, the bike will still get registered and finished, and let me tell you... I plan on going on one hell of a road trip...

Sorry to hear that, cancel all credit cards that are in both names and get to your bank accout quick. Sounds mean but people change, and not allways for the best. Stay strong.

I told my first wife that it was all over. Then I kicked her sorry ass out of my house, changed the locks, kept the house, two of the three cars, paid no alimony or support, and offered her 20% less than what MY lawyer suggested I pay her for the house, which she took. When her lawyer said he wanted to know about my pension I told her to tell him to F*&k off. She did. When her boyfriend's family wanted her to go after me for support I told her to tell them to F*&k off or I would go after his sorry financial ass. She did. When she kept comming by the house, I finally told her to F*&k off. She did that too. But I still owe her fat boyfriend a bottle of very good whiskey for taking that slut off my hands.

Now I have been very happily married to a great woman for 23 years now and togther for 25. She will not be told to F*&k off cause she does not deserve to be told to F*&k off. And I don't.

Sac. No matter how bad today seems, I can promise you that by keeping a straight head and a positive outlook, things will get better...much better. It may be with another, better woman, or it may be alone. Just don't drownd your sorrows...please.

Wow thats shitty but at least you will have the bike. Sometimes I think the VFR is more fun to ride than women. Maybe thats why I have more sex during the winter months.

But seriously hope things go well for you.

That bites. I've been through it a couple of times, it gets better over time. If it blindsided you that's the worst. The bike will help you get through this, it did me. Good luck.

If it will make you feel any better you can have my wife. Sometimes I wish I could just jump on my bike and leave for days at a time but being married and having a child keep daddy in check

    Regards,

Well said, you definitely have to nut up and take care of things FAST. I just went through all that. I see it all the time at work, wife starts trimming down, wearing more makeup , gets a tit job and WHAM, gone with some lowlife jobless dickhead that's been blowing smoke up her ass. If she hasn't already maxxed the cards up , cancel them, cell phone, cancel it, All bank activity as well. Sounds harsh but man, they turn freakin' evil, especially when the douchebag lawyers get involved.
I truly feel for the situation you're in but it WILL get better. Bonus part is , hot, younger gals love the VFR's. Go riding and clear your mind often.

Randy's dead on! Maybe 'meaner' than I was at 25. But dead on nonetheless.

But take his advice! You'll be happy, especially when the pain starts to wear off in a month or so.

Oh, and don't be supriesed to find another man in the scene, even when she's says "There is nobody else, I'm just not happy".

Bubba Zanetti has it on good authority she's lying!

    LOL!

    Shooter you too?

You, Randy, Me and others. Its the same ol story isn't it?

Man you can just write the script out now when you see it. I was blessed and had God, a good church family and a couple old wise bastards who had seen this a thousand times and been thru it help me.

There advice should be in a book.

Let me add my voice to the others: I have been there as well. It is true, the pain will slowly disappear and what will be left is your new life. Let the bike be a symbol of your life...you can rebuild it so that it is better than before and you will find more happiness.
Hang on to the good folks you know.
Think of all the nice girls just dying to meet YOU!

Damn, we are a sorry lot! I went through all this also about 7 yrs ago. It was terribly hard because I have two kids with her, and the first six months I thought I'd rather be dead. But I started dating again, immediately canx all joint money accounts I could and started repairing my credit. I was really mad at her boyfriend at first esp when they got married 2 months after our divorce, but now I really like the guy. He is very nice to my kids and he and I get along great. Even the ex and I get along much better. I guess some people shouldn't be married to each other. If you are like me and some of the other guys, you'll find one who is a much better fit for you. I have been remarried for a couple years now, and we rarely ever argue, we have great credit, a decent house in a place that hard to afford a house, and I have anywhere from 3-5 motorcycles depending on what time of year it is and who needs my money. What's not to like?

Sign me up for the been there, done that list.

Lots of spot on advise in this thread. The guys that have followed this have come out ahead. I made it thru it, and am much happier now than i ever dreamed. Took two years to get my head right, but after that i was a better person, living a better life.

I've got a good buddy that just went thru the same thing you described. I gave him all the above advise, but his love for her and crushed heart got in the way. He drug his feet, and is now paying way too much in alimony, lost all their money, and 1/2 of HIS very large 401k

I hope your out taking care of things right now, instead of reading these.....

Your motorcycle is your new love. She'll see you thru this and will be there when you need her.

Keep your chin up bro ! Women are nucking futs !

There is one thing I left out that was pointed out by others. Your kids if any. If I had kids by the first, naturally I would have dealt with things totally different. We must take it directly in the face to protect our kids. Kids are going to feel guilty about the marriage break-up regardless of what you say. Few things burn me more than hearing one parent flaming another in the presence of their kids. After all, the person being flamed is looked upon by kids as being flawless and perfect. Don't tarrnish their precious minds.

    Ride on Sac, Ride on.

my mom was very bad about that when she left my dad. It took a few years, but I finally wised up to her game. At 12, I moved in with my dad and only visited Mom occasionally. We have a good enough relationship now, but she's not been much of a maternal figure to me. My ex and I do not talk bad about each other in front of the kids, at least I don't and I'm pretty sure she doesn't. My mom has of course forgotten all those games she used to play with my emotions when I was young, but I haven't.

A new year, spring around the corner, time for a fresh start on life. Had the same problem 2 years ago. Glad you got the bike together. It will rejuvenate your spirit. I'm sure she would not have ended it if everything was perfect and both of you were happy, I think what hurt me most was failing at something. I learned from the mistakes we made and now I'm looking for the RIGHT girl so I don't make another failed attempt with the wrong one. Tap it one more time for closure and wash your hands of it. You're in a perfect position, things can only get better.
