Interceptor Saddle Bags

Hey everyone. I am a new Interceptor owner (2008) I just bought it. Does anyone know where I can purchase the side hard bags? Thanks so much! Jeff.

Have seen new sets on E-bay last week (over $900).

 

I got mine from Interceptor Hard Saddlebags SILVER '08 - 08L52MCW1A0 by: Honda - but the price has gone up since I purchased last year.

 

I can't search the site for Ron Ayers for the part. Wow. Hard to look through that stuff. I did the reverse lookup with the part number, but came up dry.

 

Hands down the best price is at David Silver Spares - HOME. Just got a quote the other day for a set of OEM saddlebags with mounting hardware shipped for around 470, brand new.

No, thats 470 shipped in DOLLARS. Emailed them for a quote, it was about 320GBP shipped with UPS. With their converter, its 470US.

 

Wow. And they'll ship to North America? Did you get a quote on the shipping? I suspect that's what's going to kill this. :frown:

 

Actually, they've got the US price quote right on the page. $755.13. When you add in the shipping, you might as well get them here.
Anyone know what availability is like for the bags right now?
BTW, what's a good GPS unit to buy?

 

I EMAILED them and was told 320GBP shipped to the US using UPS.

Even looking at this page, it says $333 US right next to the GBP price.

holy jesus, I wish I knew about David Silver's for parts other than saddlebags. Brake discs for $131?!?!?!? I paid close to $200! DAMN.

GBP has dropped quite a bit recently. It's the shipping you have to watch out for here.

 

Yeah the shipping is alot. 90 GBP for UPS shipping for a set of saddlebags to the states.

 

That's not that bad, actually. I must have been looking at the wrong item b/c the 08 silver panniers came up at $753 US.
What do you guys think of the Givi bags? For once, I think the OEM Honda's are nicer. Not sure about any difference in functionality.

 

aren't the "honda oem" bags made by GIVI? (the lock on the top trunk looks EXACTLY the same as my GIVI monokey e46) Anyway, they definitely look better than the GIVI but they are made for a specific bike model so...yeah, they better. However, I think the top trunk case is UGGGGGGGGLY.

As far as you guys with the different prices...are you quoting just the two side cases or the side cases WITH the top case?
