She is indeed a sexy bike...however, the only person I've seen riding one in my "small" town is a chick. She's smokin' hot though and always riding by herself...hmmmmmm lol

    I'll take both please!

My buddy has a 1996 Triumph Daytona 900, yet I haven't seen it in person as the last couple rides have been on his old rebuilt gsxr or his buell. However, his dream bike still remains a 6th gen VFR....GO FIGURE. Here's a pic of the old 900.

so i checked on my buddies problems on his trumpet and apparently they were shade tree mechanic induced and that other than not choosing wisely on who worked on his bike it has been a reliable ride...

No, Performance Cycle. They are the authorized Trump dealer in Tucson. I don't think anyone else is authorized here. They are good folks. But I do usually have Musselmans do my work on the VFR...they have been around for an amazingly long time.

    Oh, the famous “wife block”

Gonna play those games, eh? LOL!

Seriously, if you can’t do it then you can’t do it. Being responsible is a virtue. But brother I feel your longing pain!

Two! That’s right TWO! Aprilia RS250 two-stroke race bikes showed up on the NESBA message board for a seriously decent price each. I just had to quit looking at them. My wife gave me hug because she knows ‘now’ is not the time. Could I swing it? Yes. But it would come at a steep price to my family. So I quit looking at them and gave it back to God.

If I’m meant to have a bike like that, I’ll be blessed with one. Gotta have faith.

That's how I upgraded to my VFR- I happened to be randomly at the dealer and tripped over the thing for a price I simply couldn't pass up so I got rid of my starter bike (Suzuki GS500) and scored my beloved 07

Without getting too cosmic, I have to agree with you. My VFR ended up in my garage in a similar way. We should all count our blessings.

thats is a cool bike very cool seen a guy on one with aftermarket exhuast sounds sweet. Not sure about the insurance price difference; the interceptor is still considered a sportbike not a sport tourer,I never heard of that classification from an insurance agent.. rc46 is that the viffer code??sportbike, touring bike, cruiser,offroad-enduro,under 200cc and moped(scooter) all I ever heard of if they have an insurance company that has a cheaper rate on the interceptor I would like to know becuase my agent(16 years) has the 6th gen vfr as a sport bike. Only other bike cooler then that tri is the benelli triple(tornado)900 it was 17k ouch I sat on it and it is trick, or the duc(white) would be nice ohh to dream..

The guy I bought my VFR from owned a 675 also. He loved that bike. The reason he sold the VFR was because he only put 900 mile on it in two years. I'd love to have a 675 but I'm not giving up my viffer for one.

Yes, they do, and I love that whistle they make.

I have wanted a Daytona since they came out in the late 90's. I almost bought a 955i a couple years ago but...

My old local dealer sold Triumphs and I would always drool on them when i went in there. I am 6'2" and found them to be fairly comfortable to sit on; close to how my VFR feels.

Yippy, this was my 1000th post.

Sort of, they have a timing chain and in the blurbs they quote a hydraulic cam chain tensioner as an improvement in this years model. Not naturally balanced like the VFRs V4 the Triumph triple has a gear driven balancing shaft so suspect that's the source of the whine.

    Thank you John 451...good reports.
I still haven't figured out whether I sell a kidney or an eye to get the 675!

Sell the kidney, you'll need both eyes for good depth perception!
