    Most awesome...

    There was chatter on here about this thing a while ago, but it's in the public eye now in all of its glory....

    It will be very interesting to see these take the road and the impact on the industry.

    I like the smiling tail light lol...but the body looks like friggin igor. It'd be cool to have, especially with 150 mile range (eat your heart out Chevy Volt![40miles full electric]) but I'm not so sure I'd like having a silent bike. I'd compare it to riding a bicycle on the highway next to a car...no one will notice you unless they are paying attention visually.

    I agree that it's a bit frankenbike-ish, but you have to hand it to these guys.... They are trying some insane stuff...

    Between this and the zero motorcycles dirt bike (which really looks like a 1.5:1 scale mountian bike on steroids), the motorcycle industry will be getting very interesting....

    P.S. PMS is killing me.... It's cold and there is just enough snow for the road crews to spew frame dissolving salt all over the place.. Spring time can never come too soon.

    @stephan- Oh I appreciate what they're doing, I'm just not in love with the body design. I'd have to ride one to see if I'd want to commute on it though. It'd be fun no doubt, but if it's less safe in heavy traffic, then no thank you. As far as electric vehicles go, Lithium batteries have been around for a long time, and companies are finally making prototypes production models as the technology becomes more economical...back in the day this would cost 100k+ just because of the batteries.

    @everyone-

    My buddy works for a fuel cell company...what would you guys think of having a couple of replaceable propane tanks instead of a gas tank? lol...you know the little camping fuel size propane tanks... not the standard barbecue grill size lol

    Recharge Anywhere

    The Mission One's onboard charger allows riders to recharge from any standard wall socket. Recharging from empty to full takes 2.5 hours off of a 220V outlet (8 hours off of a 110V). In California, which has the 11th highest electricity prices in the US, "filling up" your bike only costs you $1.96.

    it looks pretty darn wide. I bet it's a heavy summumabitch

    I see this bike has a under 2 hour recharge time. That could work as a commuter bike as long as your job has an outlet. But for a cross country trip, it'll take a month to cross grand canyon lol

    I filled out the info to reserve one to find out how much they are. If they're less than 15k, I'm in. No way are they less than 30K, though. They went ahead and put Ohlins everywhere; that means the thing's already expensive, so what's a little more. If a rep calls me, I'll give you guys all the info.

    This is not for me. I want the performance and convenience of a gasoline engine. Besides, battery performance degrades with use and time. I would not be surprised if in a year it takes 8 hrs to charge and 30 min to discharge.

    I'll stick with my VFR.

    Realistically - I would be more interested in an enclosed single seat vehicle, maybe would have to be a trike, for daily driver commuter duty. Bikes I would rather gas and go to a direction and get lost to nowhere.
