    Agreed.

as the fury...fine build hope it sells. I have no intrest in it.
Don't think they spent a lot of R&D on it though..... I mean look at it.

Honda would do better to bring ridable bikes to market. Not the CBR death machines or pointless cruiser.
But a real road bike...like the vfr.

Check out the video of the official debut of the Honda Fury at the New York International Motorcycle Show. You can watch it here:

    The Bike In Person...

We went to the Intl Bike show in Clevland Saturday and did make it to the honda display. The DN-01 is, well differnt. But alot of women riders (older ladies mostly) seemed kinda taken with the bike. I think it lookes like crap but what ever gets you reved up. Low and behold they at least had a silver gen 6 there, allthough it was largely ignored by the crowd. To my dismay, all rumors of the CB1000 streetfighter/standard comming accross the pond for 2009 were just that. Then they had the Fury, 4 of them. Not my style at all but from a distance I could appeciate the long low lines of it and the rear of the bike looked verry clean & well thought out. Then I make it up to the tank and forward. At this piont I was verrry glad i did'nt spring for the $3 hot dog at a vender cause it would have come back on me. Now part of the point of these "production/custom/chopper" bikes are to look good and show of the builders reputation. My 16 year old daughter can weld better then this. Looked like a blind man just gobbed it on there untill his arc welder ran outta rod. If this is Honda best attemp at getting into this class of bike, they might wanna check if those high dollor robots got a little too much saki in their hydrolic lines.

You said it on those welds!
NOT what I'd expect from Honda. I've seen better welds in less visable places on my 80s Kawasaki, and they had a reputation for less-than-stellar fit and finish.

As for the bike as a whole.... Not my cup of tea, but I can see why it will appeal to people. This is especially so with folks who who watch too much of the Tuttles and really don't ride much if they ride at all.

My $0.02 is that it better be a price point item because experienced people won't want it and it'll be left for newbs.

I am confounded, as some of the rest of you, why our fellow Americans can't embrace the Honda standards that the lucky folks in Europe get. This Fury is an absoulte turd as a starter, or all-around bike compared with those.

I'm confused on the negative comments about the shaft drive. Seems to me to be a plus. Is it because it's not traditional on this type of bike, or is there another reason? I need an education. Thanks.

OK man, since you all but come right out & said that you work for Honda...

Tell the douchebags at Honda Powersports North America to start building a new VFR YESTERDAY or else two guys from North Jersey named Vito & Joey are on their way with baseball bats, piano wire, plastic drop cloths, lime & a shovel. Make sure you pass along to the corporate clowns to stop making good looking bikes, the CBR1000, ugly.

If you asked 10 people who don't ride motorcycles what would be the best motorcycle, 8 of the 10 would say HD. That only proves that 80% of people don't know dick about motorcycles.

    KC-10 FE out...

    LOL!

Yeah that's the street KC, we actually cover what people bought.

Delaware's review is this February. If we have any useful stats, I'll post them up regarding this subject.

They (Honda) need to shake things up but I would have 'shaken' elsewhere. It agree with Y2Kviffer that those who like this kind of bike will like the Fury.

Ok buying a factory built chopper or even having someone else build it for you means you really dont get the point of a chopper. But that being said the original reason for chopping a bike was to reduce weight to make it lighter and faster and handle better, choppers have sence gone the other way makeing them useless. As far as the DN-1 at least thats some thing new.
