Not a bad looking bike overall. If it sells, and it is what the masses ask for, then holy hell build it. The DN-01 doesn't appeal to me, nor would I buy this bike.....I would like to see a new VFR as well, but I have no hatred for HD's, cruisers, or customs....not sure why so many folks do (arrogant attitudes pose a bigger issue for me). They are all just other riders. HD has been building bikes way longer than Honda, and they must be doing something right being around 100+ years later still going strong. I just have a problem with sportbike/HD/Custom riders who give us all a bad name by having excessively loud exhausts, stunting in heavy traffic, riding like an ass in traffic, constantly rolling thru areas revving their engines annoying people, etc... If Honda just continues what they are doing...I will probably buy something else, and that is ok with me.

Honda is a very successful and wide-ranging company....having cars, trucks, robots, jets, ATV's, dirtbikes, motorcycles, lawn mowers, generators, and even a nice prototype downhill mtn bike....motorcycles are just a one small pea from the pod to them. As with most companies, what makes the hollas makes the dollas...and vice versa.

Well I will have to see it in person, I don't really know about it right now. Tank is to small(3.4gallons), I am not a fan of the shaft drive. I would rather have a chain or belt. It just looks wierd.

A great bike for people that are much more interested in how it looks rather than how it works. Sorry, I like for my bikes to be rideable, that style has never appealed to me in the least.

I like it, but talk about arriving late to the chopper party. Isn't that fad almost over? What's next, Honda will debut a new full size SUV?

Hmmm...I find this post interesting. This is a VFR forum, yet your username is "fury is unleashed" and your very first post is boasting about it. I smell a rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrat!

It would be silly for Honda to NOT monitor this forum. How many people belong to this website? Isn't it close to 10000 members? I suppose that they are listening. We could almost be a lobbying group. We'll have to discuss it at the next meeting of the "hooded and cloaked" forum members at the secret location next month. Did you get the kegs? I'm bringing the wiener-schnitzel and brownies.

Honda, like all manufacturers, builds and sells what the studies tell them that the customers want. If you stop and look around, at least in this part of the country, that spells Cruisers. There are probably 10 Harleys (and the knockoffs, I can't tell the difference) for every 1 sport bike around here, and there are more sport bikes than touring bikes, and more touring bikes than sport touring. From my viewpoint that puts what we prefer way down the R&D list. Depressing but true.

I would be interested to know if the rest of the country sees roughly the same thing.

As to the Fury ... Gag, barf, puke. If it ain't got at least some sort of fairing I'm not interested.

Absolutely where I live. At least 10-1, some weekends it's easily double that.

In Delaware, us MSF Coaches have to go to a end of year review/ update and we go over the statistics of accidents, what people buy and ride, etc., etc.

I can't remember the stats, but I do know nationally interest in and ownership of cruisers dominates all other styles of motorcycles.

Most of the people who come thru the class want some kind of cruiser too.

WHY WHY I wonder when they will get a clue first no more S2000 and now this. I would not mind if it was not another boring vtwin why couldn't they do something like this with an i4. It is much more original.

In my area this is not true. The majority of bikes around here are standards with sportbikes a close second. The cruiser are on the freeways "riding through" but they don't get on the twisty roads showering sparks all over the place. There are a ton of BMW's, enough to put them in their own category. I guess the demographics in California are quite different than everywhere else.

I like it, espesh the silver with the black rims, and i can see where they're going with the 'pared down' styling.

having previously owned a shadow and a vulcan it works for me.

however, its not high on my buy it list, and there's quite a few ahead of it.

its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay prettier than a DN 01!
