I used to commute on the bike. It was 90% ride, 10% drive for me.

The car only gets used when I need to carry a lot of stuff. I even did my groceries on the bike.

Currently, I'm 100% drive though as I sold my bike this past summer. Even when I get another bike (6th gen vfr hopefully) it won't get used as much as my work's parking situation isn't very conducive to motorcycles.

Fortunately my place of employment has a motorcycle parking area right next to the building. I have to admit that not parking 4 blocks away was one of the first things that made me consider getting a motorcycle. The rest is history!

I commute 95% of the year except for the first rainy day because of the crap on the roads. I rarely use the cage anymore except when the family is coming with me or I'm shopping for food. My commute is 15 miles each way 5 times a week with occasional weekend trip of about 100-150 miles. The bike will hit 37,000 miles by the end of the month. :thumb:

I ride year round, but when I'm in the City, where I both work and live, I ride my KLR 65o. That way, I save wear and tear on the VFR so I will have it in good shape longer. I've put about 3000 miles on the Interceptor since I got it in August. I hope to have it for a long time to come.

I ride to work as much as I can (30 mile commute to and fro), weather permitting (I'm a big puss when it's cold). On the weekends, I don't stop riding; I'd say I average about 300 miles on the weekends. Just passed the 30,600 mile mark.

I was lucky enough to ride more than drive last year. Unless it is already raining or I will not have temps at some point of the ride above the mid thirties I ride. I go to work at 4am and return the next day at 7am. Cold dark and tired are not the safest conditions to set out in. But people have been surprised to not see the bike in the last week. I wonder how tomorrow looks...

I ride 24/7/365... My 2-wheeled baby is my only source of transport.

Actually, very rarely I'll drive the gf's cage, but when I do I find my heart aching for the feel of the wind and roll of the throttle...

Let's just say that my 2007 Fusion parking brakes were frozen the last time I went to drive it (on vacation) and brakes pulsed for first few hundred miles of trip. Guess if I am gonna leave it in garage for three weeks or so I should just leave it in gear with parking brake off, but setting the brake is a habit from my youth. I only put about 5,000 miles a year between my three bikes though since I live in Nebraska where the riding season (ok, I am a wimp) is about 6 months long.

Only used 4 wheels on the job this week.
    Not unusual, May through November.
Some weekend stuff necessitates the cage.

I have a 60 mile round trip commute. I ride the VFR when I cannot carpool with my coworker, which is usually at least on Monday's and Friday's. I ride weekends too a lot for fun or to go visit family, which is a 300 mile round trip.
