Well ever since I picked up my 3rd Gen about 3 weeks ago my wife has become completely confused by which bike I am talking about during conversations. I already owned an 07 but wifey still refers to my 3rd Gen as the "New" bike even though it is 14 years older than the 6th Gen. To make things easier for her to understand both bikes have been given names. The Anniversary Edition has been named "Zues" and alongside him sits that lovely old lady "Pearl"

Now she has no problem identifying which bike I speak of. When I'm gearing up she'll now ask if I'm taking Pearl or Zeus. I love these bikes like my children. Do any of you guys have names for your bikes?

    Regards,
    Rollin

My wife calls mine, "The B*tch in the garage." Don't know if that counts

All of my cars have names (and are named after 1950's actresses as a common theme), but my bikes do not have names for some reason. I've just never given them any. They're known as "The VFR", "The Bandit", and "The Ninja".

I name my bikes too Rollin. You know my '03 VFR800 is named "Jokermobile",my '95 Ducati 900ss is named "The Pizza Wagon" I had that embroidered on the tank bra,and my '04 RC51 is named "Area 51". I always name my bikes,I've always felt that by giving them a name it gives them a soul. Sort of a wierd superstitious spiritual thing I guess.

Well, my wife named my old bike Roxanne.(2000 Suzuki Bandit 600) I don't know why, but I've never named my vehicles, and the fact that she named it Roxanne didn't help matters IMO...LOL

So when I sold the Bandit, I mean, Roxanne...and bought my 2004 VFR, I was quite happy to hear that, at my request, she wasn't naming it Roxanne the Second...

I couldn't agree with you more. I find myself going in and out of the garage numerous times at night before bed just to catch a glimpse of my babies and to make sure they are alright.

You don't need multipe bikes to be able to name them. Give you bike a soul and pick something good.

My old R6 was named Tixie.....I always named my cars and bikes, my old race car was Black Sunshine of course it was black...but my wife actually named my VFR for me, because Hondas logo has wings like a bird and its yellow she just stated it eminded her of Bigbird so it stuck...not sure if she was trying for humor at the time but we've always called 'her" bigbird from then on....I was thinking of having it painted white I guess the name would change to....Bird Sh*t.....

Your wife's name is Maria, too!!???

Once I heard that, I changed the name to "Your Sister".

So now its "Honey, I'm taking your sister out"... "Hi honey, you sister and I had a great time today". "I'm gonna go ride your sister"...

Damn Rollin that's a huge relief to know that I'm not the only wierd guy on the planet that walks out to the garage at night for no other reason than just to check on my "baby girls". Even wierder is that I'll be working on one,and I'll actually pull the covers off the other two just to admire them while I'm working.

    I love it. :)

And yes, I go down to check on mine as well. I leave mine uncovered and admire them whenever possible.

My wife calls my bike Bala Negra which translates to "Black Bullet". Compared to my old 750 Shadow, she is a bullet.
