    Long,

I am riding down. Terri and my stepson, Justen are coming via car. Justen will ride with me Sat. Do you have the room or should we go ahead and grab a hotel? It's no biggie to us. My step-daughter may come also and we will definitely grab a hotel if so. PM me your address, etc so we can figure out where to stay to be fairly close. I'll get back with you guys on when I am headed down so I can make it down to Mexico for some fun... Do I need my passport or is it still pretty easy to cross?

One of my motorcycling goals in 2009 is too meet the VFRW SD crew which will hopefully happen at Reg's spring BBQ, can't wait to meet Long because the only thing I really know about him is he is a blast at party's but doesn't do well in water fountains or posting pics

    Oh easier to get in.

By vehicle you just need license AND certified copy or original birth certificate. There was at time that day trips to boarder towns just needed drivers license, but not sure if that holds anymore. I've only ever been in Tijuana long enough to land, do customs and take the fuck back off...

So yah, take your passport -- one less form to fill out.

Keep in mind, if you take kids -- there's a slight chance the mexico side will want notarized permission from the "other" parent not in attendance giving permission to travel. Or a notarized copy of custody agreement.

My sister had to track down my niece's sperm donor before she took her mexico for the first time. The guy hadn't seen her since she was born. Loser.

Easier than hell to cross INTO Mexico. I could bring a gang of naked midget terrorists carrying machine guns walking/driving in....just getting back takes longer, and can be a hassle if not prepared. Used to be coming back prior to 9/11 it took 20-30 mins most days...maybe 45 min some busy days...walking back I am talking. We will not drive if we are staying in TJ. Now after 9/11 usually takes me 1.5 to 2 hours to get back in on the weekend, and one time took me over 3 hours on a busy weekend. Really varies...and what security threats there are thought to be.

Yes, bring your passport, or the agents will rip you a new :ass:...or at the very least a driver's license, and birth certificate. The former is best though. Driving into Mexico the same. You really really need Mexican insurance though if driving...only 20 bucks a day. Not worth the risk without it really. I am sure some hardasses don't get it, but they are just sooooo :strong: Most likely you will be with me/us....so all will be fine and dandy! Not sure if the ole lady will appreciate the :stripper::llama: show though.

Here is an idea of where that Long lives. He is within a 1/2 mile of this.

Well, sadly, I must change my maybe to a no. As much as I really want to go, I just won't be able to make it happen. I've been sick with the flu since Saturday and just made it back to work yesterday... still incredibly tired. Signed up for the MSF Advanced Course with some friends next Saturday a while ago and just don't feel right backing out on them, since I'm the one who initiated it and pulled them together on it. I talked to them and one was okay rescheduling, the other not. PLUS, at the rate I'm going, I don't even know if I'll have enough energy to ride out there next weekend, plus all of the extracurricular activities, then the ride back!! I'll have to catch you all at the next one, whenever that is.... you guys need to schedule these things at times when I can make it!!!...

You will all have a great time and I can't wait to see the pics and hear the stories!! :cheersaf:

so anyone gonna be off work to go to TJ with me on Friday? I've never been down there. I think I'll come to you place and take the bus down there. From what I hear that is the best way to go. How hard is it to get back across the border if you are wasted? ;)
