    '07 Rwb

On a little sidebar to this discussion. Does anyone know if the ones with the white rims are ordered through Honda or aftermarket?

Neither. These are people's own initiative. I plan to powdercoat my rims white when I replace the tires next winter. For the RWB to be truly retro, it's got to have white rims!

    How Many RWB's?

I've been reading these threads with great interest and curiosity for the past two nights. I saw the RWB version and fell in love at first sight (sorry, just can't get into the Halloween color scheme that two4one posted). I bought 900452 in October from a dealer in San Rafael, California. He'd picked it up from a collector who was selling some of his bikes. It only had 548 miles on it and came with Leo Vince twin pipes and a Power Commander. I paid $9800 and would have paid more. My first bike was an '82 CB900F in Black. Rode the hell outta that thing. Of course, I was hooked on superbikes and became a Freddie fan. Loved 'em all though. They put on a great show...Kenny, Sheene, Eddie, Randy, Wes, Wayne, Kevin, Wayne (Gardner), Haslam, Bubba, Fred Merkel, Jimmy Filice, Doug Polen, and on and on. Freddie signed a picture of me warming up at Willow Springs on my '86 FZ750, which I'd driven/commuted/toured on for 46,000 miles before taking to the track with it (after some modifications and upgrades). Bought my wife an EX500 (Ninja) in '87 and we drove cross country from CA to Indiana and back. Then had a TT350 Yamaha that was registered for the street and an '86 XL 600 before buying my buddies '84 GS1150ES. Finally sold 'em all one-by-one and was down to just my '97 KX250 (one of the last 2 strokes). Gas got expensive, my neighbors on either side picked up clean used FJ11/1200's and my wife said, "You should get another bike to ride to work..." She didn't finish her sentence and I was out the door to my local dealer. Then, after much searching and reading and internet research, I narrowed it down to a 1999-2003 ZXR11/1200 Eddie Lawson Replica in Kawasaki Green. Only problem was I couldn't find a clean one that wasn't too overpriced in Northern California. I went back to searching for a clean, used '80's Interceptor 750/1000. Found a couple and then thought, "What the heck? I'm gonna buy the '07 RWB VFR800." I forgot how much I loved that bike when I first saw it. So, my search found the one in Reno, and was cooresponding with them when I found the one in San Rafael. (By the way...that is the best/coolest/friendliest/most knowledgable dealership/personnel I've ever dealt with. These guys and girls know their stuff and love to ride. Check them out just over the Golden Gate Bridge near San Quentin Prison if you're in the area). Anyway, wanted to get in on the conversation about how many RWB's are out there. By the way, what is the 1st VTEC Battalion 6th Gen Militia, how do I join, and where can I get some of those cool stickers?

Just wanted to give this great thread a little bump, I don't have a RWB but I got lost in reading about them here. No matter what color the bike is, it's great to own one that everyone is so proud of. Keep the comments coming!

This thread definitely wasn't trying to discount non-RWB VFRs, but rather try to determine how many were produced. The RWB color scheme was for the 25th Anniversary Edition for the bike and the number of bikes made in that color were supposedly limited. Agreed though, a VFR is a VFR. All are good and welcome!

You could not be more right on the white rims. Don't forget to ask about pearl white power coat to match the paint. I did and it turned out great!

Wow! I've never seen a dealer with that kind of inventory, especially 2 years later. With that number bikes in stock, you must have gotten a good price. Congratulations. You will love this bike. Mine gets attention wherever I take it, mainly because of the RWB color scheme.

I just put a deposit down on 900620, non abs. I would have just picked it up but since the riding weather isn't the greatest I thought I'd post pone my Tags and insurance about a month.

It's official, 900620 now belongs to me. Unfortunately, I had to leave it at the shop (my shop not the dealer). Had the chittlen activities after work so I needed the truck. At least she'll be waiting for me when I open in the morning :)

I did that on my 95 CBR, and it was a pain in the @$$ to keep the rims looking clean.... but it did make it look a whole lot better

Well I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but I just bought my RWB in 12-6-2008. Mine is: JH2RC46807M900135. Mine has ABS also. Was surprised to find it actually- was hoping for an '08 because I like the silver better than the '09 black, and had never seen the RWB before (only been riding a motorcycle since July) and was instantly smitten. The fact they made me a smoking deal because it was an '07 and they told me they rarely stock Interceptors because they just don't sell them so they were happy as pigs in sh!t to see it go and I'm happier to see it in my garage and under my ass at every opportunity.

Yep! I did get quite a good deal. $9699 including ABS. And yes, it's already getting considerably more attention than my other bikes even though I've only put about 210 miles on it in the past week.

Here's an update on the unofficial registry thread: Our other Honda dealer in Chattanooga has a non-abs RWB for sale. It's number 900244.

Congrats! And yep, I noticed on cycletrader that the bikes were a bit cheaper out in Oregon and Washington, but the shipping to here offset the benefit. The mountains and normally moderate temps here make it a bit harder to get a good deal because VFRs sell well and bikes are extremely common.

My dealer told me that they were only making 1000. I can't remember if anyone had a VIN greater than that. Congratulations on the new RWB.

Clearly it's the opportunity for a road trip....fly out, ride back- a tasty way to break in a new bike I think!
