Just a general query for the Yanks (USA folks) on what your insurance carrier is, and the rate per month or year? Whatever you are billed by.

I have Geico (I had Progressive last year), and I pay $610 per year full coverage, 500 deductible on both comp/coll. with no accidents. My truck is 21st century, and not my bike because it was a better deal to keep it that way.

Not trying to start a "I paid less than you thread" just an idea of what all companies are out there, and what they charge.

I have Progressive. It costs me $120 per year for all 4 of my bikes. However, I only carry liability.

I also have Progressive for my bike. $75 per year, liability only. The Hartford (through the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group) takes care of my truck, again, liability only, for $228 per year.

I'm with Geico at around $550 a year. I had my old Katana with Progressive but they wanted $1200 a year to add my 06 VFR

It looks like I'll be switching to Met Life who also insures my house and cars. Their offering $450 a year for the same level of coverage.

I use a place called McGraw (insurance broker). VFR full coverage, SV650 and 1100F the minimum to be legal. Seems to me it was about $450 for one year, but there was also an '81 Yamaha SR250 on the policy at the time (minimum coverage), and, as usual, a speeding ticket on my record.

Stuuuuck --- If you can get everthing you own under State Farm, I think it will be the best deal. Of course Ohio is dif from CA, but jeez I'm at $110 a month for a car, 2 bikes and a house.

believe it or not, I have AAA. Progressive was cheaper (by a few bucks), but there are advantages to AAA. everything else I have (home, Umbrella, cars, truck, trailer, life) is through Mercury. even with all those policies they were OUT TO LUNCH to add the bike. I can check the rate tomorrow if you would like. Im insured all the way to my eyeballs.

I have Geico with the same coverage/deductibles as you. They get me for $360 a year. They were way cheaper than anyone else for coverage here in ABQ. I'm old, married, and park the bike in a garage so that might have helped.

I have progressive for $395/year full coverage, $250 ded for collsion, $100 ded for comprehensive, $300 ded for hit&run. '98 VFR.

House and 2 cars are through Travelers...they don't offer M/C insurance (or at least not cheap enough for my agent to suggest them).

I'm a 41 yr old married male with clean record.

I used to have progressive for all my vehicles...they were great when my wife had an accident (not her fault). But a year or so ago, they just started jacking up my rates and my agent suggested Travelers (we had our home insurance with them). Saved us over $500 a year over progressive.

My car and truck are both insured with GEICO, but the bike is covered by Progressive. Progressive Insurance beat GEICO's motorcycle rate-quote by more than half.

Progressive Insurance: Full coveragae w/ $500 deductible; $35 per month.

I pay about $700 year for full coverage on both my bikes (07 & 93) with $500 deductable through Progressive.

Insurance rates are highly dependent on what city you live in. If you live anywhere near a major metropolitan city you are guaranteed to have higher rates.

My car: Liberty Mutual only because my company has corporate discounts. I get liability for my junker Nissan sentra @ $384 a year. My bike: Esurance @ $75 a year with liability. Yeah I'm a cheap bastard. Oh, and I have managed to get a spotless driving record despite speeding tickets that just disappear at court time he he!
