    Hello everyone!

Just joined, hoping to get some help with the above.

Mirrors - i hear about y2k mirrors a lot since apparently those bolt on straight onto gen4 mounts. Can anyone confirm or deny this and perhaps suggest model or part number for those mirrors?

Replacement hand grips - nothing good found on Ebay or google... anyone aware of quality aftermarket grips sold anywhere in the world? :)

Bar ends/weights - i own 2 extra sets bought off Ebay that claimed to be compatible with the veefer but currently not worth the return postage. I am looking for polished aluminium or CF-look replacement handlebar weights that definitely fit the bike. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    Welcome!
Cant help with the bar ends, but on the mirrors, yes they are a drop-in to the 4th gen. I had one and installed these mirrors and they look much better.
Check here for the part numbers....

The fische lists both styles so be sure to pick the non "condom" mirror for the part numbers.

Hand grips? - highly recommend ProGrip 699, a.k.a. "waffle grips". Photos in my gallery. Any dealer can order them or plenty of places online.

Bar ends? - just my 2 cents but stock 4th gen is best.

    Good luck,
    MD

Grips are grips. Just buy whatever you think you will like. Some like the factory ones, some cheap $5 foam grips, while some like more expensive gel type grips. Its all personal preference.

Just one thing that's been bothering me regarding mirrors... the Yamaha R1 has these mirrors that sort of... can be folded down when stationary, to take up less space. Do you guys know if there are any mirrors like that that would fit the VFR 4th gen?
I find that if I do that with the stock VFR mirrors, they get loose.
    Thanks!
