I debated for a while about my exhaust options for my bike. I decided save the money and gut the exhaust. But that was not to be.

All was going well I removed the exhaust no problem and then came the time cut the end caps off. I was using a variable speed reciprocating saw with a new metal cutting blade and cutting oil. No problem one would think but I asked my buddy to hold the exhaust tight :strong: and over halfway through the cut the blade got stuck...heavy vibrations ensued. It was only two seconds of this but you can see the damage in the picture. It was totally my fault.

So after four glasses of scotch I decided to refinance my home(foreclosure be damned) and my new Leo Vince Pipes are on their way. :cheersaf: Deep down that's what I really wanted to do.

Anyway just had to confess what an idiot I am...Merry X-mas to all and may all Pass out tonight

You just opened your options up for some crazy exhaust now. Get some pipe, some sort of baffle, hell get a Y pipe and split the exhaust into 4 outlets. You should be able to get everything from Autozone and a machine shop or muffler shop would probably only charge about $20 to weld it together. Explore!

These are no where near as loud as they look. Quieter than aftermarket cans.

Trade in the saws-all for a cut off wheel and die grinder and your friends hands for a vice.
From your post, however, it sounds like your subconsious mind willed the breaking of the stocker in favor of the Leo Vince set. Please keep the reciprocating saw in the tool box when those show up!

This is the best kept secret Honda ever had. 1000cc V-twin sportbike with comfortbale ergo's, it's somewhere in between a VFR and a RC51. AKA VTR1000F Superhawk. When the weather is nice it is my preferred mode of travel over the VFR. Because it is not a CBR and lacks the following of a VFR, no one knows what it is and an excellent specimen can be found anywhere for less than $4k. Amazing bike...

I am anal about cleaning my chains. Replacing them is too expensive and annoying, so I keep them clean.
