I ride year round, Just winter gears for the last two and half year. Just added heated grips, It is help But I think heated glove would be better. The coldest ever rode were 29° the face shield frost up sooooooo cool.

I commute to school every day, only about a 10 min drive. I came down from SC to get away from the cold, but it almost seems like its colder here than it is in PA. It was 24 the other morning when i rode to class. I love that little temp gauge my VFR has, most certainly comes in handy. The cold weather definitely has its perks though, there's plenty more motorcycle parking (don't have to fight for spots) and it almost seems like my bike runs a little better in the cold, any body else feel that? Or is it just me?

Christ! I live in Michigan and my lowest temp I'll ride is 50 degree F. Maybe 48 F...

I do enjoy the extra horsepower with the cold temps... but I have never considered riding in freezing weather... that is just plain nutz!!! You guyz are dedicated!!!

My ride yesterday lasted about 5 hours. When I pulled out of the garage the temp gauge was showing 27 degrees. When I got back in the early afternoon the temp was in the low 40's. The winter gloves helped a bit but my hands still got extremely cold. I saw quite a few Harleys out and just can't understand how those guys ride in freezing weather with open face helmets.

    Regards,
    Rollin

    He's my theories:
    A) Enerything from the neck up is already numb
    B) Facial hair's rated to -45c
    C) Engine vibration shakes 'em enough friction to keep warm even if totally nude
