If these shocks are aftermarket, they were cheapies. They would be best suited on an old snotter. Nice selection of twin cams. I had a '79F. I paid $200 for it. I tried and tried to get in running right but to no avail. I gave it away. To my knowledge, it is running and driving somewhere in central New York. It is one of two machines that have defeated me in my life. When I parted with that bike, I was so full of hatred for it I'm surprised I didn't set it on fire. I've had a slight aversion to twin cam stuff ever since. But now I want an early 1100R
