Lower bars and higher rearsets?

I know this is beating a dead horse, but I searched and found everything except and answer. Is there another VFR or CBR model that you can use the bars on a 2000 VFR to give it a lower bar height? I know you can't really go the clip-on route do to hitting the tank and I read on here or another site that certain CBR 600 models will drop the bars like 1". Thats about all I'm looking for.
I know its a shot in the dark, but, is there any place that makes a more aggressive rear sets for these bikes? I'm used to my Ducs with the "Italian torture chamber" ride stance and I've grown to love it. Just checking. Thanks in advance!!

 

Or you could go the route I'm going this winter - fabricate your own rearsets. I'm planning on moving my pegs back about an inch and a half and going to solid mounted footpegs.

 

You don't need new rearsets, just make an adapter. Use some aluminum plate,1/4 or 1/2" thick, drill the mount holes for the frame, then locate, drill and tap the holes for the rearsets. You could make them with extra mount holes so you can move them up or down, forward or back, to get the position you like best.

Vortex makes race clip-ons for the VFR last I knew and Thurn Motorsports in Germany makes rear sets too!

I was going to make them from some 1/2" aluminum plate (which I already). I made some rearsets a few years ago for my KTM Duke II and they worked out great.

I think it will be a fairly easy proposition on the VFR.

 

you may can put bar ends on the wheel axel that would be awesome !! Then put rearsets in the passenger end of the seat now thats sweetness,,
