I finally got her back together and rideable. Bike is about a 10 footer with some old, poor repairs to the bodywork, and mediocre quality paint job, but all in all a decent little bike, and it runs and handles very nicely. Getting the seat recovered next week. Total investment is currently at about $1300.00

Not bad at all for $1300!! Looks great. Wish I could happen upon a deal like that. I'd like to get the wife a bike.

thats a great deal! a couple cans of semi gloss spray paint and clear coat will turn a 10 footer into a 2 footer :)

Thanks for the kind words guys....
The paint isn't the worst part, it's the fact that the bike had been wrecked, and the front plastics were all but destroyed. The old owner epoxied in aluminum patch panels on the back side of all the breaks, then bondoed the outside. It all looked good until I bolted things on and they immediately started to crack. I popped in a few rivets here and there to try and keep it from getting worse, but....You get the idea.

Sounds like you need to contact cobalt racing for some new pannels and then give them a good painting.
