I've noticed that whenever I park my bike, I get a few drops of oil dripped. It only happens when it's cooling down, and stops within minutes of shutting the engine down.

I'm wondering if I could have a leaky countershaft seal (it drips down onto/near the side stand), and if so, what that sort of thing should cost to fix. Any ideas?

What year and model? Are you sure it's oil and maybe not hydraulic fluid from your slave cylinder or excess chain lube? Can you clean the area enough to spot the source?

'01 VFR 800. My initial thought was chain lube (I have a Scot Oiler), but the oil from that is blue, and what drips is definitely not blue.
