When I bought my '96 the PO told me he'd put "iridium plugs" and "kevlar brake pads" on. Are these Good Things or Snake Oil or ...?

    Not snake oil

Good plugs imrove power and millage be giving a big and hotter spark ignighting more gas.
When i change plugs in anything i go for the better plugs(even the lawn mower).

that said there are still cheep iridium plugs.

Kevlar break pads i'm not to sure but assume it is a minior upgrade improving the longevity of the breaks..not to sure.

    They'll both perform fine.
EBC HH pads outperform the Kevlar pads in all riding conditions. Organic Kevlar pads work good hot , but not great cold. Nothing special about Kevlar, it just replaces asbestos.
