Yeah, I've noticed the chicken strips, or rather the lack of them, on some of the local sport bikes. Most of the rear tires on them are flat in the center w/ no wear up the sides at all. Go fast in a straight line, but those corners sure throw 'em.

I hooked up with a bunch of guys on tricked out stunt bikes a while back when I was out alone in the boonies , they tried to lose mean in the twisties but to no avail , so we get to the next stop and the guy beside me looks over and says," hey , you keep up pretty good for an old guy" to which I respond, Nah , you just need more practise, so , away they fly, we're getting near town so I decide to back down, they're doing about 160 in a 100 km zone and over here you lose your ride at 50 over, so they get up about a mile or so and low and behold red and blue lights at the city limit, they did not look happy when I cruised by and gave 'em a nod, that musta hurt.

Looking at a bunch of GSXR's parked at a local stop i looked at there rear tires.

Out of 8 bikes, 2 had white showing in sports on the center of there tires. you know the white underply that is benieth the tire? ya that.
the other 5 tires looked like boxes |_| because the center had been so worn. the last one was new and still had the little nobbies on it.

I don't unserstand it, even riding to and from work and some times between Edminton on clagary using a big long straight road for 3 hours each way my tires do not look like that.

I honestly thought it was jsut a sterio type...but holy cow.

    !!

it was really awesome, totally enjoyed it. I see all these posts here about "how fast will it go" and " I just did 1XX miles per hour" ... dudes take it to the track for all of our safety! The VFR is totally trackable and capable in stock form. NESBA - tape the lights, take off the mirrors - enjoy.

Will be doing VIR Pat and N in Oct on the 999 and Thunderbolt Nov 1 & 2 with Mr. Zanetti. Gen 3 vs. Gen 4 death match.

Awesome. That sounds like fun to me. Let me know how you like T-Bolt in NJ.

    Bring it on! lol!:vader:

Actually, I am pretty interested to see how I do at Thunderbolt on the 97. I was there on Sept 15, but I had to borrow my friends Ninja 250. The VFR had some issues I had to iron out. Anyway, the track is fast and technical. Very fun, but my day was cut short due to a small fork oil leak and the front suspension on the 250 is shot. So when the yellow flag dropped the handlebars would do the "shimmy-shimmy-shake" in the corners. Not very confidence inspiring lol! What was fun was I didn't have to use the brakes! I just keep that 250 wound-up; accidently red lined it a couple times:whoops: A downshift here or their was all ya need on that bike to slow.

So I pitted in before the session was over and NESBA (Bobby G) actually gave me a half day credit!

I'm really excited for Nov. 1st!
