well, I always say, " You can't fall off of a car."

    no drinky on the bikey!

My personal deal. I like my bike too much. I am still in the learning phase, so altering my perception at all skews my learning curve. I also like my skin in it's current configuration. Alcohol+motorcycle=potential skin remodeling.

I had a half of beer once, other than that not a drop. I need 100% of my mind and body with all the morons out there.

No drinking and driving, at least simultaneously...bear hats are hard to use with the helmet on, and with the camel bags the "tea" gets hot or in the case of beer it looses gas and starts to tast bad...

But talking serious I dont drink, only coke, I dont like it (whit the exception of vodca, after the first shot it's like water) beer tastes like Sh**...

Like many of you, I just feel it is best not to drink when riding. I don't want to give Mr. Police any chance to have any problem with me. I am a lightweight when it comes to drinking so even one affects me. I want to be as sharp as I can when out and about. But, you make a good case for not being affected...everyone is different.

If you are going to drink and drive, go really, really fast so you don't spend much time on the road endangering other people.

Just kidding, of course. For me, the general rule is no more than two drinks over a two hour period, and then wait at least another two hours before driving or riding. If that is not practical under the circumstances, I avoid drinking.

Clinically it takes an hour for each drink to clear your system.
    1 drink=1 hour

I normally ride with the same few guys. When we stop for a meal we will usually have one drink and then water or something else. We ride on the spirited side before stopping, and take it easy afterwards on the way home. As long as you know what you're comfortable with and you don't ride beyond your limits(factoring in a drink), I think a beer is Ok.

No riding after alcohol for me

As one who is definately old enough to know, I refuse to ride, or drive, for that matter, with alcohol in my system. Nor will I ride with those who have been drinking.

Furthermore, I equate any VFR rider who drinks and rides as being in the same bunch as the H-D riders on their bar hopping booze cruises, or the squids who ride around with their helmets hanging off the seat and a backward ball cap as their head protection. Not riders, just wannabes.

Flame away, see if I care.
