was fooling around with an idea for paint this winter, as I will need to repaint my bike.

The one I like so far

I like them both, but the 2nd one (solid black) really shows off the frame. I think I like it better.

What about repainting it back the original colors? To me the original colors are part of the bikes identity. Every time I see a classic Interceptor on the road it brings a smile to my face and takes me back to when I first started riding on the street. Those were the good ole' days!

BTW....Nice bike! What year is it?

    Regards,
    Rollin

It's an 84 750, but the actual bike is painted hideously bad. Those pics are made from a magazine article I copied off the internet.

The original colours would also look fantastic, but I'm such a huge fan of black bikes :D

Maybe the original colors, but in new pearl or metalic paints? Try house of color paint.

The original paints were three-stage candies, but painting the stripe in candy also instead of using a decal like Honda did would be nice...

I like the one with the white.
I'd do the black in a straight gloss, then the dark gray accents in a metalic flake, the white in pearl.
I really like how you arched the colors. The curve makes it look more agressive IMHO, more than the solid black. Get some aftermarket smoke indicators and lose the reflector on the radiator and tail side, then the black/silver/white/charcoal theme will be uncluttered and look fan-freakin-tastic. I'd even lose the wing to make it even cleaner, although I am a fan of the wing logo. Maybe a small charcoal one on the chin faring.... mehhhh.

Not bad, I like both. I thought about doing my bike but like Rollin said, I just like the identity of my bike. Already had people pull up to me and tell me to hang on to my VF

But I have seen some cool paint......

Black and white or straight black are both good choices. I was considering something similar with my resoration product and cant get past the hurdle of sticking with the original colors. MEH! either way should be a success

I may be a little bias, but I always liked the Rothmans racing scheme, red, white, blue and gold. Very clean, classy.

But its your bike, have fun.

Have you tried reversing the black and white on the first one?

    colours

i like the black/white/grey scheme. just move that Honda wing up the tank a shade, shes sitting a bit low and would be covered up by leg/knee of the rider.
check out the wing position on this first pic, in relation to gas tap position.
also attached is a pic from the forum of another Grey/Silver gen 1 that looks classy.(cred to 'GreyVF750', i think, for that one.)
have to say the RWB is still classic.

Yeah I just kind of threw it on there. It's not even the same graphic I'll be using. I'll be playing around with actual colours, I think, other than grayscale, but we'll see how those turn out.

What's the solo seat on the gray one there? Is that an airtech aftermarket piece?

    Thanks guys.

Looks good. Always fun to change it up a bit. I too am looking at doing paint this winter. With a black and white combo, I was thinking of doing the orange, but now leaning more toward white. Just imagine the orange as white, with the black back half.

That's cool. I think I'm pretty set on the black with white and gray accents.

I took off all the parts that need to be painted today, here are some pics:
