Well I would hope that 1000cc racing replica would have oodles more than a VFR..

Hmnnnn - maybe I better not speed in Alberta:

"A 34-year-old Alberta man was handed a $12,000 speeding fine this week after police caught him roaring down the highway at 263 kilometres per hour "

Massive fine gives Alberta speeder 12,000 reasons to slow down

    BTW: 263 kilometer/hour = 163.42 mile/hour (mph)

mental note, don't do 263km/h on an emptie tank or least fill up off the main drag.

ouch, not that i go that fast ii'll have to watch it. Alberta has added so many cops/sherifs who's sole job is to get speeders and generate revinue. They do nothing else.

And they are cocks...had 2 follow me and a buddie to bragg creek through some turn off's and back to the main drag. I mean i don't speed exesivly but when there is 2 cop cars tailgating you waiting for you to go one over to nail you and follow you for more than 1/2 an hour. Stop and they turn around only to come back and tail gate you...debating flaging them over and yelling at them or worse...

In town others complained of the same.

    sorry for that rant.
there is enforcing puplic safter and there is harasment....i could see a sherif getting eaten at the side of the road getting eatten by and aggry moose and the only reason i would stop would be to cheer.

I've now made it to 150mph indicated.

That's about all she had left in her, so i'm now satisfied and don't feel the need to tempt fate at those speeds again for now. Out here me and some friends go way out into the middle of nowhere across the california/nevada border way away from any cars and where the road goes straight for 10 to 20 miles at a stretch to do this. And be careful slowing down from those speeds too. Ease off the throttle very slowly or you can get rear wheel chatter or worse.

I hit 150 indicated yesterday as well.
I do feel she had more in her considering I ran out of road and I had my soft bags on.
I do feel the need to tempt fate.

maybe not this season...new tires and a safer lid might be a good idea first.

Oh, just to stir the pot...STOCK 5TH GEN.

Way to go drewl. I've only had mine up to 125, it was scary smooth at that speed. Had my old Nighthawk S up to an indicated 140, that was about all she had to give.

About two weeks ago I was riding with some friend late at night. And of course the bug to push it finally hit one of us. At 70mph I dropped two gears and opened it up. I glanced down to see my speedo reading in the mid 130's. It seemed as though I was shot out of a cannon and it felt like it had more. I got home and checked my gps that I had in my tank bag and looked at the highest speed and it said 126. Talked to one of the guys that was behind me on his 08 cbr600rr and he said he was reading 132. But the guy that started this triple digit run was on a 02 rc51 and that thing sounded like he was shot out of cannon and he became a light red dot in the matter of seconds.

We are at altitude and we see 240kmh regularly, what I like is that one up or two up she will see that and not have any handling problems at all. Gutted pipes and K&N filter, pilot power 2ct tyres, Power bronze screen.

quickest I have ever been is 285 indicated on the K1200S, stock pipe and Metzler z6 tyres. First time I ever experianced tunnel vision, the peripheral vision definitley narrowed

scariest story is a freind of mine took his Busa to 300kmh and his wife on the back had a panic attack and tried to step off the bike. He managed to save it and slow down quick but it took 30 mins for his wife to come out of it. she never got on the back again and now rides her own cruiser.
