I wanted to share the great customer service experience I just had with Corbin. My seat has lost one of the rubber bumpers where it sits on the sub-frame of my bike, and 2 others look like they could come off soon. It looks to me like the pop rivets were installed too tightly because the rubber material is really squeezed and is splitting.

Last night I emailed Corbin customer service asking if it is possible to get replacement bumpers - mainly just to see what they would say. I figured worst case I could go to the hardware store and find something that would work. I didn't even purchase the seat - it came with my bike when I bought it.

Well this morning I got a response asking how many I need, and that they would be happy to send them to me along with new pop rivets. I told them I could use 3 of them, and within 20 minutes they replied saying that they are already in the mail.

I have read many horror stories about Corbin's customer service, but I have not had a need to contact them until now. I have to say that I am very happy with the customer service that I received.

By the way - I love the feel of Corbin seats. I put 30K miles on one on my Nighthawk, and about 6K miles on the one on my VFR. They are pretty hard when new, but once you break them in, they feel great!

Sounds like you are one of the few, you should head to the casino and try to cash in on your good luck. I know I'll NEVER give them another dollar after the nightmare they put me through.

I completely sympathize with you - I have had awful experiences with various companies and they will never earn another penny from me as long as I live. Don't even get me started on Saturn!! I won't even consider using the plastic Saturn clips for my fairing after what they put me through with my first new car...

After reading the horror stories about Corbin, I was very pleasantly surprised at the service I received from them on this issue with my seat. They sent me extra rubber bumpers along with pop rivets, and I installed them last night. The replacements seem to be a better design than the originals that were on there. They are beefier and appear that they will hold up better.

I had some movement in my seat due to the original bumpers, but with these new ones the seat sits much better.

Anyway, I wanted to share a positive Corbin experience. This is my 2nd Corbin, but my first problem and I personally have no complaints.

    Wow,

I can't even get them to respond to an e-mail I sent them.
I wanted to know the differences in the fabrics and what color piping to order that will somewhat match my bike.

two e-mails sent in a week and a half with no response.

I'd start looking for something else or buy one used. The seats are nice but the Customer Service is a joke.

I've had good and bad service. Rode down there was treated like a king. E-mailed them a couple months later and got no response. That really pissed me at the time.

If you ride to one of there Factories they are great and will treat you like a long lost friend and you get a custom fitted seat. Alot fewer emplyees than I would of expected, onlytwo that wern't working in the back, might explain the crappy online service. They recently started closing on mondays so youd think they would relize customer service might be affecting their sales.

I bought a seat from them for my 600rr, they sent me one for a 1000rr. It was way to big and had a 1000rr sticker on the box. I called to get an exchange and they >refused< to believe me. I had to talk to a manager who insisted I email him a digital pic with the seat sitting on the bike to prove they sent the wrong one.

The 600 seat I finally got a month later (backordered) after paying again for shipping didn't fit well either, they wouldn't take it back. He suggested I sell it on eBay if I didn't want it.

But, I'm glad your experience was good.

That is really a shame that so many folks are treated badly by Corbin. I've had their seats on 2 bikes now and really like them a lot. But I won't be feeling too bad for them if I eventually read that they've gone out of business. I have had a great experience with them but it's clear that many people have not and that is inexcusable.
