Oh Yea lots of topic matter here, I good many of us have trust issues with Honda, lots of hype over the years has folks not holding their breath, so till we see it on the show room floor will many here won't believe it. Me, I think it's a done deal. lots of minor reasons for the thinking, I'll leave it at that. Have you seen the so called GT version? only thing thats has me shocked is what I just heard the sticker price is going to be, going to be hard to swallow even if it's 75% accurate at $17,000 Euros

There are several threads about it here. Mostly a wait and see deal.

Honda has delayed this bike for so long it makes one wonder what the reasons are.
I would buy one in a heart beat, regardless of cost, if it weren't for Hondas dicey
history on this patent. I think I'll give it one or two model years to work out the kinks
and then hell yes, I'm in!

Anyone notice the heatshield by the rearset that would not exist with that exhaust config?

I am certain it will happen. There has been lots of rumor up until this point, however there has never been anything to back up the rumors....until now. Motorcycle news would not stick their neck out and put facts on paper, unless they were somewhat accurate. Whether we see it this year or in 09 is a different story, however it is out there, and close.

$17k Euros though. Thats a tough call, and the US sticker will be even higher.

LOL! I guess that's what happens when you let your graphic artists do mock-ups for you! You could argue that the bike would have multiple different exhaust pipes a-la the RCV211V race bike, but "over enthusiastic guess work" by MCN seems a more credible reason.

That's what I was going to say! Make it look just like the moto-gp bikes. I wonder how you would buy aftermarket exhaust for something like that.

As for whether its real or not there should only be a few more days before we start hearing the truth. Model roll out should be right around the corner. And is there any way that the price rumors could be wrong? That would put the bike above the ST1300.

Pretty obvious that the pic is a 'photoshop' cross between a CBR 1k and a 6th gen! I'm not holding my breath! Just wonder when Honda is really going to pull the cover off this thing......... :pope2:
