    Hi everybody

I'm the owner of a VFR RC46A, yellow, from 1999. I bought it 2 years ago, and really enjoy it.
I made small modifications mainly for my confort.
I put an Ermax high windscreen, An Olhins rear shock absorber, Olhins fork springs, a scott oiler, a Green air filter, a Mig Exhaust muffler (I use it only sometimes, due to the high sound level over french laws)
    I polished partly both wheels.
i often use a givi top case and when I travel far, I use 2 givi suitcase.

I tested 2 double bubble windscreen (MRA and PUIG) which didn't suit me, and I am small.

In 40,000 km, I didn't face much problems. Out of the normal maintenance that I do myself, I changed twice the voltage regulator and batteries, once the water temperature sensor which starts the fan.
I fell once last year, but I had only plastic damaged.

I have ordered a personal seat which I'm supposed to receive this month.

This summer, I made a trip to Slovenia, near the hungarian border through the alps. You can see on this little report some pictures of this 6500 km trip:

Dailymotion - Photorécit vacances slovénie corrigé, a video from Acma29. photorécit, vacances, slovénie, corrigé

During this trip, I met few member of the VFR french club, where about 5800 members are registered:
.:: VFR Club de France ::.
    or
VFR Club De France - Portail

our club is very friendly and helps any french spoken people to solve their problems. Of course, French is our mother language, and only few people are able to write in english. And as you can see, our english is far from perfect!

Anyway, I hope I will find new informations here, and if so, I will transmit them the VFR-CDF.

Welcome, Acma. I enjoyed your presentation of your trip. How far was the ride and how long did it take you? I would love to do something like that some day.

    Bonjour Acma!

    Welcome to this site.
my wife & I have traveled in your beautiful country only a few times but LOVE it & want to return......
    your windshield changes..........
you say you are small, & they did not work well.
    what is your height?
I am thinking of a double bubble, but the stock windshield works pretty well for me...
    I am 5' 9"...... 175 - 176cm....

Your trip looks wonderful! 2500 km?

    TIA...(Merci beaucoup)
    bob

hey there. welcome to VFRWorld. It is nice to see members from all over the world here. Unfortunately, it has been many years since I learned any French so my use of French would be embarrassing to me and insulting to you (not intentionally but because I would be so bad at it).

Thanks to everybody for all these welcomes.

I'm 172cm. The Puig double bubble doesn't protect me enough. After few kilometers at full speed, I had 2 vertebras dismissed!

With the MRA double bubble, when it's raining, which happens quite often in my place, I have wet arms.

RFman, from VFR-CDF, which I saw was registered in this forum, made a special page on different windshield for 5th and 6th generation. See this link

    RFm4n - GGaaazzzzz!!!!

Windshield is called "bulle" in french. He put pictures of different trade fitted on bikes. It may help you in your choice

Thanks. You can't imagine how many people speak it uncorrectly!
The best way to know if you can still use french, is to try!

French is a very easy language, you can see children, 3 year old in here who can already speak it!

Thanks Drewl. I can see that your bike is yellow and from 2000. In France, the yellow one was sold only in 1999.
Was it sold during many years in the US?

    Ciao, Carmine
