Anyone know what happened to the member locator flags on the "Find Me' on Google Maps?

You do good work Michael. Just to show you how proud I am of you, I am going to the beer fridge in the garage for a really cold one. :drinker:I don't know about anyone else but I like to use this feature often. Like to see the terrain in the member's areas.

All fixed. I did a little research, and it turns out there was a bug in the software, where if a user used quotes or & in their field, it would cause the markers not to load. I hacked the code and voila, now it works again. Give it a test and let me know if you have any issues.

Now all we need is just one more member to add their location so that we'll have an even 700 users!

Whoohoo! I'm number 700! VFR representation in NJ looks pretty sad.

    Cool, glad it's fixed.

    Michael,
Is it possible to set up the map such that the box that shows the name of the person that belong to the pin not come up till you click on the pin? I always find it a bit annoying when you're moving around in area that is dense with pins the ID box will open when you go over or near a pin and typically move the map in a direction you didn't want it to go.
    Thanks,
    Dean

dskelton - I agree, it's annoying that when you hover over the pins, it pops up the member information. However, I don't know of a way to fix that, I think it's meant to be a "feature". I will keep my eyes open, but I don't think that's one I'll be able to fix.

Molsan - PM me your address and I will mail you some VFRworld business cards to leave on bikes. I have a couple of other folks sent me their addresses a few weeks ago and I need to get those in the mail as well.

I clicked on the Your Entry link. Zoom in on the map and click on your location. You need to add text to the pin and the other field - i forget what it was called - otherwise it won't register.
